3rd person is so much better than 1st person. I actually enjoy not backing off of cliffs I can't see/feel or trying to hide behind a wall only to find out I am 1 foot in front of the corner.

I just find it more immersive to play as 1st person - seeing through characters eyes, instead of having floating camera few meters behind. And overall less "stuff" on screen, say my character, helps me focus more on action. Even tho Anthem doesn't provide 1st person option, I do hope that it has some sort of "camera mode" that allows me to zoom into 1st person for screenshot purposes.

A bit shame ,since all videos I've seen of it shows extremely beautiful world that I'd love to attempt to capture in screenshots, but it won't really work if I can't hide UI and character. As I'd like to have more of landscape shots and less about "selfies".

Nah I get it, which is why I enjoy 1st person but sometimes I do love a good 3rd person too. Like Lost planet series and the fable series ( 1-3) as bad as the 3rd in ther series was really didnt stop me from playing it multiple times. Also watched my homies play spiderman and God of war, so I get it brah. But if the devs like it better as a 3rd person I'm sure they have their reasons.

I personally find it less immersive. To me, it's like watching a video of the grand canyon on TV vs being there in person. When I'm there in person, I have peripherals, I have a sense of what's behind me, I know what my feet are about to step on, if I'm moving sideways I can sense that I'm about to run into a wall. When I'm watching a video on the TV, I am limited to a rectangle of vision - just like in an FPS. Third person, to me, is so much more realistic because I get a sense of my surroundings, vs FPS which is tunnel vision. Anyway, to each his own. I don't know if you've ever bothered trying to play a third person shooter extensively, but you might like it better once you get used to it.
