It's not PS2 era when Sony didn't really have shooters. Outside of Halo and Gears of War. Most shooters are multiplatform these days. I.e. Cod, BattleField, Battle front. Etc Also take into consideration that their was probably a lot of Xbox players who jumped ship. Look at the sales of Xbox over PS4. I think people who want an less then casual experience can get that on PS4. I mean the majority of the guys who stream that at least follow have all three consoles and rotate between them. And I have watched thrash players on all 3 play as well as great players on all three

Streamers are no where near the status quo for players. All I can say is that when I used to play PS4 70% of the players couldn't aim for shit. In the last few years shooters have become multi platform thus giving PS4 players less time to become good at them. Also almost no one knows how to claw on PS4 which speaks for itself.
Streamers are going to foster competitive communities amongst the consoles. I.e. Gamesager and his sage squad or Iniquity and the purple army
Not really people watch their content for enjoyment while some might be inspired to get better most watch streams of good players because they know they will never be that good. That's like saying a 22 year old kid watches Aaron Rodgers and then becomes a NFL quarterback next week.

I am not talking watching videos, all though that's an option. But I am actually talking about communities within said consoles ps4, xbox one and pc. Where they actually game with their communities on a daily bases. It would be like inviting Aaron Rodgers to come down to the high school for the summer and play with the players all summer long. By the end of the summer those kids are going to be leaps and bounds better then the other kids who don't have access to someone on Rodgers level.

There called trials CARRIES for a reason. I would say in fact those streamers attract less skilled players bc they need those streamers to complete the activity as for the skilled player doesn't need the streamer bc they can complete the activity themselves. I think that high skill streamers attract the majority of plebs.
