She might be wrong, or you might be wrong... at this point I don't care anymore, the Theory of Evolution is a Theory regardless of what everybody thinks, and you have the right to share your opinion saying otherwise. "Scientist don't have enough info in the matter, that's why they have move on to other questions relating Evolution." That's what I could say too and would be as valid as your opinion because that's all it is... an opinion, yours make sense, mine makes sense... I don't think a real scientist will ever come to these forums (and I'm actually glad because I would not strust any info coming from these forums anyway XD) to confirm any of the "theories" we might have because... common sense. Good night everyone! Or morning!

작성자: mulldoe 10/28/2015 4:03:04 AMThere is no "might" about it, she is wrong, and so is your opinion on the matter. At the end of the day evolution is a fact just like gravity, it exists, it is proven, it is fact whether you want to believe it or not. How can you still not understand that there is no higher level of certainty in science than a theory? If I were you I would be seeking a refund from your uni because they aren't teaching you what they should be.
-
Man... Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you are getting a little mad about this whole conversation, you worry to much :D, in a few years the Theory of Evolution might change anyways... And how do we know you are the one in need of a refund!? Just kidding... but seriously. I'm sorry but something is telling me to trust these guys more than you guys :/ no offense please, it's just... common sense. Nowadays you have to speak with certainty to qualify as an expert, just absolutes!!, I'm not a fan of that, I like "possibility" more! My opinion though :)
-
Glad you are not mad, and I'm sorry but the same could be said for the opposite, you find what you look for in the internet, the question is: what can we trust!? Official sources also differ about Evolution, I see that now. Finding the truth that way is gonna be impossible sadly :/
-
It's the internet... It's Google... Molded by people and not just by pure truth, trust me if you go looking for the opposite, and look hard enough I'm 100% positive you will find it! Because... the internet... Now that's a fact, a sad one too :/
-
Nope, to me someone who is credible is someone who has a reputation and the knowledge to know exactly what they are talking about. So when you have people like Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye stating that evolution is fact (along with about 98% of other scientist) you can take that to the bank.
-
98% does not mean "right", it just means highly possible. And I don't know where you get your numbers but that might be speculations too, also... we are humans, we all make mistakes all the time. Still a Theory until the science department says otherwise, they are the ones in charge man, not you or I, or these guys you named.
-
So I guess you aren't studying what you say you are because you have absolutely no understanding of science or the terminology used therein. You still don't understand what a scientific theory is and you would know what it means if you did study science, especially at a university level. You believe gravity is a fact yet it is a scientific theory, you probably believe it to be fact because it's observable but guess what, so is evolution. At this point it seems you're more willing to remain ignorant than to try and expand your knowledge which is quite sad, but oh well it's your life not mine.
-
BTW you are starting to sound like those guys that say "God exist, the proof is the Bible, many people believes too", 98% in a community perhaps? Please don't be like that, because if you continue sounding like that then I'm off, peace!!
-
I'm not putting words in your mouth, gravity is a theory and you believe in it and know it's fact but it's a theory. BTW you are the one sounding like a bible basher here, you keep saying "it's just a theory", you have a book and refuse to acknowledge or seek the truth anywhere outside it's pages, you definitely have the "creationist" mind set.

I don't know what those capital letter means XD The term “law” in science refers to a description of invariable, observable, results and happening under certain conditions, whereas the term “theory” refers to a proposed description or explanation, usually based at least in part on repeatability and observation. Well I was talking with a friend of mine (more hard worker than I too) about our conversation, she also agrees that the educational system, at least here in this part of the world (America), does not allow the Theory of Evolution to be taught as a fact, she mentioned that this Theory is too broad, with all its variables, to say it's a fact, it deals with so many aspects that some are true, some are attempts to explain truth, and they could be true, but also they could be false assumptions. She also said that if we think of Evolution as only a change in allele frequencies over time then it is a fact, we all know that, but people often thinks of the Theory of Evolution as only this or other facts taking place in the Theory, and ignores the rest which is not based on facts but well orginized and studied assumptions. It was nice talking to you stranger, next time I should ask my teacher directly, although I as my friend what she thought the teacher's view on the Theory of Evolution was, my teacher supports the Theory of Evolution just like I do, and I hope they invest money into it again, not just a few bucks...
-
It means "shake my head". Scientists have discontinued research into if evolution is a fact or not because it has been deemed as a fact, they instead study the mechanisms of evolution to better understand the fact of evolution.
-
I heard money was the problem, no one is interested in investing into more research because of lack of interest and a sense of comfort. Research like that cost money that scientist don't have. Instead they are investing into more relevant research for our future.
-
Nah man, it's not like there is one science company that tests theories and laws, there are thousands of universities and laboratories all across the world. If evolution warranted more testing there would be plenty of people testing it, instead they focus on the mechanism of evolution not whether or not it's a fact.

No, I don't agree with them in some ways. I was searching info about them and apparently there are tons of different kinds of creationist, what the heck with that!? XD Creationist are just those guys whom believe the story in Genesis as it is in the Bible... literally, right?
