Your blue engrams should decrypt into higher light level gear as you progress so you are not stuck waiting around to purchase a Legendary. I recommend working on all of the quests that open up after the Initial story, playing Crucible, and tackling the Court of Oryx to get sweet gear to raise your light level.

Been a fan since Halo:CE but this TTK 'expansion' will be the last cent I spend on Bungie or Activision. Not because I don't love Destiny, it has great mechanics and feels great. It's because the business practices of Bungie and Activision. I personally have never seen a game render the vanilla version so useless so quickly. All the talk about taking your favorite gun forward, creating 'your legend' and creating a character that you care about was just horseshit. Open world concept? Nope, Arena to arena tunnel concept. I've always felt the game didn't live upto the hype or its real potential, or the potential that we were sold on, but its the practice of creating paywalls that has really put me off. I could stomach a subscription model before that. I've purchased TTK, but that will be it, I have decided to stop pre-ordering, stop buying 'season passes' and to show companies that I will no longer be milked for cash. I think we're in a dark age of gaming and we may never see another Halo:CE that has more then enough content and that doesn't need quarterly DLC installments to be playable.

don't have anything to add other than boo hiss boo, bungie should be ashamed of themselves ref locking us out from the product we purchased. again boo hiss boo shame on activision shame on bungie and most of all shame on the leadership of bungie that sold us out for a few dirty coins.

This game just gets worse and worse with every patch and DLC release. How can you explain grinding a character up to level 40 and having zero legendary marks to show for it. Why can't we infuse our year one weapons and gear? Why can't we have our heroic modifiers on missions? Why can't we earn marks on all the activities that we used to get them on? Why don't planetary materials and ammo synths stack up to higher numbers? Why did you remove content we paid for? Why don't you read our feedback on Bungie.net in preference over Reddit or Twitter? Why do you and Deej ignore our feedback? Why does Bungie lie?

It makes no sense that you are hurt for getting a package or vendor item early. So I got a dead orbit chest but it's light is well below 280 that the vendor sells because I was a lower light level vendor gear should have a base starting point no matter what ur level is
-
Well I'm level 40 + (as it continues to level up the stormcaller stuff) and my Blue engram drops are basically scrapped for parts as all are pretty rubbish, I basically feel that the game has lost something by not only making all the gear from year one useless but by then making harder to replace in year two, its like saying yeah your a hero, until we decide your not and some pleb can kill ya with one shot. I worked hard to get exotics only now to have them worse then the basic gun in TKK, I don't know I just think it would be nice if Bungie thought of all the people who play destiny, even those ones who find it hard to be part of a fireteam so maybe want to do some pvp without relying on others to much.

This has nothing to do with blue engrams or progression. The OP is talking about more ways to earn legendary marks. Bungie has hog-tied our ability to do so, compared to year 1 ways to earn Vanguard and Crucible marks.
-
They have, but why do you want legendary marks? To get to 280 light? You can do that with much fewer marks than you think. They said they wanted us to gear more from drops rather than vendor gear. I was incredibly dubious about this, but it works out pretty solid.

작성자: ArchangelLBC 9/18/2015 5:52:45 PMOn the contrary, the OP is about getting the light to do certain activities. The OP thinks that to do certain activities you need a certain amount of light, and to get that light you need legendary marks But you don't need as many legendary marks as you think to get the requisite light level. You can get that light level much easier than you could before when drops were rare, but strikes dropped 6 per. As to your post, my question stands: why do you want legendary marks?
-
작성자: Der Sheff 9/18/2015 6:15:24 PMIt's about earning marks in other avenues. Look at how the post closes. All the OP is saying is that marks are requisite leveling materials and that they are had to acquire. Again, it's about more ways to acquire marks as dictated by their necessity, not about how to spend them.

작성자: Touch It 9/18/2015 4:22:17 PMThis is such a poor way to rely on getting marks. Since the game is RNG based, one player could turn in 50 blue engrams and have 10 of those engram turn legendary, letting them dismantle them all for marks or keep that gear to rank up. Yet another player can turn in twice the amount of engrams and not see a single legendary drop. When you're talking marks, the old system was much better, not just because of the fact that you could have up to 400 marks on each character at any given time, adding up to 1200 at max at one time, but mainly because there was a consistent and for sure way to earn marks without relying on high tier gear to dismantle. Yes, you can run the heroic strike playlist for marks, but that only gives you marks the first couple times through per week. Not to mention when you reach the weekly drop max for marks in the heroic strike, the loot at the end also stops dropping. To where in year one, you would receive marks and loot drops EVERY time you ran through the strike playlists. And in crucible, the only way to obtain marks now is by running the daily playlist. So you only get awarded marks once a day, to where in year one, you got marks EVERY game. I get that the marks don't have a weekly cap on how much you can earn anymore, but by reducing the number of ways to earn marks by this much just breaks the new system. At least add some kind of legendary mark drop at the end of crucible matches and strike playlists every time you play through them. Whether it's the old amount or down to maybe 3 per game/strike. It will balance out at lower quantities like 3 to accommodate for the unlimited earning. But especially now that the marks are shared between all of your characters, it seriously breaks this new system by limiting the number of ways to earn marks. You used to be able to buy gear with marks on one character, and switch over to another to buy other gear with that characters marks. But now, if you buy gear on one character, and want to switch over to another and buy more gear, you really have to grind to get that amount back. Especially since you can't hold up to 400 on each character like you could previously. My titan is at 283 light, and even now it's still really hard to earn marks. Just because your light level is higher doesn't automatically mean more marks will come in. Sometimes I wonder if you guys ever actually play your game outside of on the streams for DLC releases, because if you did, you would see just how broken this new system is.

Let me ask you: why do you want legendary marks? Before I wanted them to gear up. It was slow since you could only earn 100 a week. So you took three weeks to get 2 weapons or 3 pieces of gear plus the marks to get the fourth on week 4. Vendor gear takes you to 280. You already have more light than that. So really your marks are going to be used on what? Some good vendor weapons and exotics? You can get the marks for that pretty easily. You can easily get 240 a week with that. That's before you dismantle everything, and not counting all you can get from one time quests. I thought like you before, but there's just so much better ways to gear than marks.

작성자: Touch It 9/18/2015 5:54:49 PMInfusing? Buying exotics? Buying gear for all of my characters and not just my Titan? Just because my light level on my Titan is 283, doesn't mean all of the gear equipped is at 280, because it's not. I just have a couple pieces higher then 280. And there's better way to get gear how? The weekly heroic strike playlist only drops loot the first couple runs in a week. After that, it basically all relies on engrams dropping.
-
Keep doing strikes, you'll get 290+ drops pretty easily. Do the same thing on other characters to get legendaries you like in those slots, then send over your 290+ blues to infuse. Infusion is very cheap and you easily get the marks for that from dailies. Getting gear through marks is just way too slow, but it would be slow if they gave us back marks in every strike. The engrams rain from heaven now. Use that.

작성자: Sir MAL1CE 9/18/2015 4:36:41 PMI did not see the big issue with the marks. 30 marks per day for each character x 7 days in week is 630 marks. That didn't seem to restrictive plus all the other marks I can get easily 800 between the three characters. The sharing between characters is really awesome and I think everyone is missing the point. You can use a other characters to boost your favorite or visa versa. The sharing is awesome. The biggest part that I love about the sharing is that it still promotes community. I can run someone through their dailies or weeklies using my 2nd and 3rd characters and get loot & marks that are helpful for my main character. This promotes everyone helping each other and I think that is cool.
