What doesn't work! legendary Marks!
Its probably just me but the whole Legendary Marks idea seems broken, at the moment it seems in order to do certain Strikes and raids you need at least 240 light, this is obtained by having legendary gear, to buy legendary gear you need Legendary marks but in order to get Legendary marks you have to do certain strikes and raids. So doesn't this sound a bit backward as you can't do certain strikes without the gear but you need to do the strikes in order to buy the gear.....am I missing something?
I understand that Bungie wants people to play the game, and as reaching level 40 takes about 3 hrs people would get bored of the new stuff within a week if they just threw Marks around, but it would be nice to see some progress towards getting gear even if it was 3 marks a crucible win or whatever.

47 답변Your blue engrams should decrypt into higher light level gear as you progress so you are not stuck waiting around to purchase a Legendary. I recommend working on all of the quests that open up after the Initial story, playing Crucible, and tackling the Court of Oryx to get sweet gear to raise your light level.

another less than observant player afraid to get his feet wet...clue: use the infusion system on by putting higher ranking rare items into your legendary items given upon quest completions, yes QUEST LINE COMPLETIONS! that is 1 through 10, the number of your quest step is in purple

1 답변I've been getting a decent amount. Legendary engrams drop a lot more often and pop out of blues more often. I level them up before dismantling them. Gives 5 marks instead of three. Small increase, but it adds up.

Have posted numerous times on this subject. Not one word from Bungie. They could at least respond they are thinking about it, buy maybe that would tax their brains too much. They have not thought out alot of aspects of TTK playability. Marks system is totally messed up.

Scrapping poor legendary gear gets youmotes, sometimes blues drop with 190+ Light. Best bet is to equip your best gear b4 visiting the cryptarch with engram as the newly decoded mats r often given more light. Play the game. Do the best strikes or missions you can and the light levels will build

What haha I would think this is a bug and destiny is fixing it..i dont even get legendary marks when I play crucible anymore smh they still capped us just even harder

But I fully agree they said we can earn an unlimited amount of marks a week which is true. What they didn't really tell you is they dramatically limited the sources, no more grinding strikes or crucible. You can get them from legendaries (primary bungie source now), weekly strike only 3 times, and daily crucible. This a joke but good luck convincing bungie of that.

3 답변Most people who work at Bungie are idiots. They can't see this logic. They saw a way to let us grind even more and of course they took it. What you can do is do the daily crucible and walk around until it's over. That will give you 15 marks. In order to get a full set of armor (not even weapons), you need only 495 marks! So that is only 33 days of walking around in the daily crucible. Have fun with this awesome game!!!

Yes i had the same epiphany. The whole idea of legendary marks is a paradox. And stupid you can not obtain through crucible like you used to be......Now i need to do strikes to get marks to buy gear so i can be at a high enough level to get strikes to buy more gear( its like the vex mythoclast on repeating time continuum)

3 답변By simply playing the game and completing quest steps, you get rewarded with 50+ marks. Playing the lv 36 Strike playlist rewards high level blues and the occassional legendary. More than enough to push you beyond 240 light.

At 280+ without buying any gear... do some quests, get rewards, equip them, do strikes. I think your main issues is you think you need legendary gear. Use the blue gear. If its light is higher, equip it, get better blue gear, equip that. Only distinguishing factor for gear until you get to 280ish should be light. After that, worry about perks and infusion.

It's a vicious circle. Another wall erected to progression. In vanilla Destiny as well as TDB the only way to the highest level was to get gear from the raids. Thanks to the random number generator many players who raided regularly never got to the level cap because they kept getting the same two pieces of armor over and over. This happened to me. Once again we are under the mercy of RnGesus. You could try the crucible. Only one playlist gives marks. It was salvage, I think. The other solution is to find two higher light level players to get to carry you through the vanguard strikes until you're light level is high enough to hold your own.

So the good news is that drops are so plentiful that you can easily get 280 off drops. Indeed though I have spent 150 marks, the boots I bought are already replaced. The drop rates are just really solid, especially if you stay in. Do the quest to do 5 vanguard strikes, never leave to orbit till you're done. Hell do more than 5. Do them till your inventory is full of engrams. Return to rahool, decrypt one at a time and equip anything that's higher defense/attack, then keep decrypting. Doing this I hit 280 essentially off 16 strikes (5 of them heroic).

Read a few of the comments... I'm going to have to agree to disagree. Simple fact is play the game to progress. The system is there. What found strange is, I got my 50 marks for quest completion, got the legendary suros 200 damage, legendary elf cape, freebe legendary ghost for being a lifer, and legendary arm drop from one of the strikes. Immediately dumped marks to feed blues into my legendary gear to move up light, now i'm out, have tons of blues to feed into upgrading legendary gear, but can't. I haven't tried breaking down a weaker legendary gear yet...that might net you some marks. But, cosmo saying the drops will net higher light armor regardless of green white blue, only higher light lvl blues and legend can be fed to another, so you can keep one you like and continue to max it out breaking down stuff with garbage stats. That's my thoughts.

Dude you're going to have to play the game to get marks..... It's not hard, I get legendary engrams from killing Patrol enemies....patrol enemies, you know? The red bar enemies that are really easy to kill? The loot system is much better now and good loot drops far more often. I think I have played a total of about 5 hours of the taken King and I'm already at light level 262. By the end of the weekend I will probably be around 280. You just need to do the strike playlists and quests. Oh and patrolling the dreadnought helps a lot. The game is a blast of you just play it instead of trying to rush and get all of the best gear right now. Take your time and be patient.

My buddy and I were same light level and we cleared it no problem. It was tough but playable and enjoyable. A lot of reviving lol but worth the challenge. Edit: sorry hit post button I was afraid of the same thing but seems to be pretty strait forward to work way up in light with the marks. Do daily pvp and do daily story is I think 30 marks. Work on building three characters so maybe 90 marks per day equals about 630 a week. My advise is stick with this plan everyday, get one character up then each character after. Edit: your on ps4 man just hmu and if I'm running any daily you can go with me. I'm always ready to run through with someone new.
