Seems some of you might be missing the bigger picture here.
If Year one content is not upgradeable, then every thing you have bought--Destiny, TDB, HOW--is rendered worthless. The whole point of this games content is to grind for gear, if the gear is not upgradeable, what is the point in playing said content to grind for said gear? None.

Well, the point is technically to play for the fun and entertainment of it, but yeah I do agree with what you're saying....the game already doesn't have that much to do, then with TTK none of the two raids or Poe will worth doing since none of the rewards will be relevant, but hey there will be one new raid so we can all look and have all the exact same perks again, YaY!! (So Much for them learning so much from their Crota mistakes!!

I'll use my own characters as an illustration: I never have had the Praetorian Foil drop, so I still run 1-3 HM VoG raids a week for that chance of it, especially worth it since I can upgrade it...say I buy TTK, what would be the point of ever doing the VoG again, and that sting will be much worse when I've got all the newest gear in the first 2-4 weeks after!!!
