Reddit rumor: All current guns will stop at 365
I heard yesterday that the Etheric Light upgrades will stop with The Taken King, and the current 365 weapons will not be upgradeable with the next frontier. Twas also said that it Exotics would'nt be upgradeable either (but that's gotta be horseshit, right?)
So what's up? They'll actually cap at 365 and the new guns/gear will set the next level? Personally I think that the Etheric Light thing's been the smartest in-game added feat to date. Now, we're building individual setups really..

3 답변Ask yourself this: Does it make sense for Bungie to leave everything they've done for Year One behind? VoG? CE? PoE? All the strikes? All the missions? Sure, TTK is going to be big. But I very much doubt it will be so big that Bungie will drop everything they've done with Destiny for the first year. It just doesn't make sense.

Legendary yes not upgradeable exotics should be upgradable but with the nerf they told us about Out of all the HoW weapons the messenger is the only weapon that is good everything else is shit. Ok maybe party crasher and matador if you don't have a felwinters from tdb or vanilla. Her benevolence once final round is gone but then you have TTK weapons... They made vog and iron banner weapons too good I was disappointed that I couldn't use anything different than the usual since it's miles apart. How you fix that leave them all behind and nerf exotics. Fate bringer Thorn Felwinters sniper Efrideet's shotgun Gjallerhorn any rocket w/ tripod grenades n horseshoes/ tracking That will get you through pretty much the entire game and it's blah blah shit.

Well etheric light reads "max weapon to year 1 max" (or something close to this). Year 1 max is 365, so etheric light will only bring weapons up to that point. They may introduce another material that can bring it up to the new max, but we will have to wait and see. Personally i do not think we will be able to upgradr legendaries, but i think we will be able to upgrade exotics.

With that said they can't make the old exotics useless, imagine the uproar from Xbox users just getting the PS4 exclusives and them being obsolete. Xbox player..."Woohoo just got Hawkmoon.....time to dismantle"

1 답변If I'm honest, I don't really care. I'm pretty bored of the weapons I have been carrying around for some time now, and if I was forced to let them go and get some new ones, I wouldn't consider my inventory being freshened up as such a bad thing.

I wouldn't be surprised. Weapons won't be upgradeable forever, nor should they. I think they should just got ahead and pick a whole new color to go above legendaries. Exotics should stay upgradeable for now, but even those will eventually get stale.

I wish Etheric Light was never a thing! In a new DLC I want green loot to be better then old legendaries. Now however I do think Exotics should be upgradable but nothing else. So personally I REALLY REALLY REALLY want Etheric Light to NOT be a thing in TTK!

Pretty sure exotic weapons and armor will be upgradeable considering they changed alot of exotic weapons. Would be pointless to do that and then make all the weapons obsolete especially since the patch doesn't drop until near the TTK

[b]First Point[/b] One they had already stated that they will adjust old Raids to TTK light lvl. Why adjust raid if the weapons won't be up to new lvls? You could say well they could implement new weapons in the Raid but come on its Bungie. That's not happening. [b]Second Point[/b] Why Tune Weapons when TTK drops? If they won't ascend then why even bother tune them? They would become obsolete very quickly.

The new max will most likely be 400 or 431, and there are going to be light levels for guns from what I've heard but I'm not sure if it will be for all of the old guns to, Probably exotics but no legendarys if anything

1 답변I figured this would happen, but with all the weapon nerfs coming with ttk I think we will still be carrying year 1 weapons. What would be the point of the nerfs if they weren't going to be upgradable?

3 답변The only thing that was a good breakthrough with HoW was the Reforging (which honestly should have been in the game day one) Using EL to bring old gear up to current standard? Eh, that was more of a frivolous thing really. It kinda gimps us in allowing us to use old stuff and forgo even trying new stuff. I would gladly allow EL to go the way of the dodo and force us to use new equipment (Exotics excluded because lets face it, it would be a massive mistake to make them all obsolete) if, and only if, they allow us to re-use skins with some form of transmog system. Then stats won't matter. Hunt down the newest piece of gear that has the stats you want (or reforge it) and then slap on a skin that you particularly like. Me? I want my Auto Rifles back, and I want transmog in place, so I can use [url=http://www.destinydb.com/items/1858643877-problem-78f]Problem 78F[/url] on all AR's after the fact. I just happen to really like that gun model. And Transmog'ing would be the only way to allow players to keep looks they like, without breaking actual game mechanics such as having everyone using the same old gear because they happen to have base stats better then new stuff. Just my opinion but Bungie could have saved themselves some headache over EL if they had just tried to put in a simple Transmog system.

If they didn't allow it then there would be a whole year of content that would be considered useless and when TTK drops any player that has been here since year 1 will play TTK and be done with it in less than a week. 2. Why would Bungie take the time to nerf perks such as field scout, hammer forged, and perfect balance to bring them in line with current perks that have tradeoffs if all these old weapons will soon be underpowered and considered useless? (Especially blackhammer since no one will use it if it can't be ascended) 3. Kind of goes along with #1, but any player that was around during VoG and for launch remembers how boring this game was because of how little there was to do. I don't think Bungie wants new players to feel that way and wouldn't bundle up TDB and HoW if that content isn't relevant anymore. 4.) Exotics will be able to be ascended so why not legendaries?
