  • Nope. But that's exactly where they wanted to be as a company and apparently...where they belong. This isn't like Pearl Jam vs Ticketmaster. Bungie chose Activision as a publisher and I imagine they were more than happy with Activision's terms of service, mission statement, and licensing agreements. In other words; Bungie IS Activision, just a subsect of it.

  • Bungie didn't write the contract. At the end of the day they, like any other company, were happy with the terms of the deal BECAUSE they are most likely getting the type of money they hoped for. Plain and simple. So yes they signed away their independence and such. But oh well, don't act like you would turn down the money they got...

  • Yet Bungie apparently signed this hypothetical contract. In this world we have what I like to call free will. It allows us to choose what we do in life and as such owe up to the responsibilities and consequences of those choices. We don't flake them off and play the blame game as what you are doing s wonderful job of showing us. As to your other point. No. I would not take the money at the expense of my integrity but that brings me back to my first point, free will. We will all choose different paths, just some of us are actually not douchebags and live a life free of those decisions.
