Slightly off-topic; are physics equations in America metric or do you have a whole host of annoying conversions you have to do for everything?

Depends. Sometimes the question that needs solving is asked in Imperial Units, and we have to solve it using Metric. When I took Physics, I didn't really see any questions asking us to convert from Metric to Imperial, just converting Imperial to Metric. So, essentially, we solve with Metric in the higher education/university setting. At least, in California, we solve using Metric.

Both Imperial and metric unit sets are used in physics equations. metric is used mostly in academia and Imperial is used in industry. honestly i do not care which one is used as long as the units are correctly labeled. also most engineering programs and even calculators (IT-89 Titanium for ex) can take care of the units for you
