Its fair idk why you people are complaining so much about this, most people use 1 exotic armor piece and like 3 exotic weapons, you are not leveling every damn exotic in this game. Get over it.

Bump... its simple for all those kids that dont like Bungies decisions... Stop Playing Destiny.... but they cant... so stop bit.........ching about everything... they should have made this... a rated M game that way less stU....pid little kids would be criying about every change...

Moron when you reset your gun the perks that make it unique are removed the only thing that your able to upgrade is attack or defense with basic perks. Patience and time wont let you turn invisible, ghorn wont split into tiny missles, etc

I'm actually trying to obtain every exotic in this game, and trying to make them as badass as physically possible. But, If I have to depend on RNGesus to get good upgrades for maximum badassery, i might as well not even use it until i get those upgrades first.

But, If I truly want to complete this game, I want to make every exotic weapon I own a force to be reckoned with. Having every exotic be the same made that goal as simple as it needed to be. Because of weapon rerolling, some weapons will then have an advantage over others. That makes it even more time consuming trying to get the best weapons that I can.

I don't care what "most people do". All I know is I own every exotic in the game aside from 5 (Monte Carlo, SGA, Praxic Fire, Spine, Veil), and I enjoy using many of them regularly. Forcing me to re level if I want them to be at full potential is literally forcing me to reset and repeat grind. This is not fun/fair design. This is especially bogus as only players who spent ages maxing multiple exotics are screwed over. Anyone finding an exotic post patch has to put half the effort in as me to max it. That's disrespectful to the time some of us have invested. Ugh. It's baffling how anyone could consider this part of the update ok. :(
