I think Iron Banner armour shows more skill and determination than Raid Gear. Besides Raid Gear will be around forever, Iron Banner was an event, temporary. It takes more determination to get LVL 30 armour in this small time period, while you can take more time to get Raid Gear. There's no - "Ah we can just get it next week!" With Iron Banner armour.
I think raiders would be feeling a mix of emotions: Jealousy, anger, 'omg nerf Iron Banner, iz too OP', and would be feeling intimidated. No offense or disrespect, but I can tell this is what some Lvl 30 Raid Veterans think and feel.

The reason for it taken long for you to get Raid Gear is because of it being an activity with weekly rewards, combined with RNG Loot System makes it take a long time. While with Iron Banner, it relies heavily on winning many matches of Competitive Multiplayer, and you have limited time. This requires skill and determination from you and your teammates.

Only if you want the Raid Helmet, which is a waste of effort and time in my opinion because you can get an exotic helmet instead and use that. Aww... Is it harder now because you have to beat Atheon legit? You have to kill him as he was initially intended to be killed. You poor thing. And Iron Banner can be hard for some people. Are you speaking for yourself? It seems like it. If not all your teammates are playing and trying in Iron Banner, it can be difficult.
