Point is you still can share the world with other players with public events and areas. If they really wanted to they could call the division a shared world game.

No match making system like destiny. There are loads of players out there in the streests of new York. [spoiler]star citizen and no mans sky are mmos. No man's sky is like dark souls. You got that a little off from what I read about it only specific places have other players unless they are jumping in to jack yo shit, but the point I'm trying to make is the shared world is just a title. it's match making is unique but so are some other games, and it looks like more and more games are going to push towards this style of coop play because it makes sense destiny is just paving the way.

Then what would be the point of even having raids. They've already made it a point raids are the most difficult thing in the game so they will very likely reap the greatest reward. They merely said you don't have to play with anyone.

Bungie has said time and time again you can play the game alone. Yes you will see players. Etc but they will not force you to play with others. A lone wolf can help someone out and.be gone before they.even thank them.
