Halo is, at is core, a closed arena, symmetrical, balanced shooter. Where everyone spawns the exact same way, and all weapons are on the map, equal distance from the spawn of each team.
That is what made Halo 3 extremely popular with MLG - no one person has an advantage over another because of spawning in with different weapons/abilities than another. So the only thing that determined if you lost or won was skill, not better perks, or better spawn weapons. Not to mention the 1-50 Trueskill put players in matches with people truly equal to them (in most cases) whereas it's impossible to determine a good team mix now due to perks and weapon loadouts

Ok, this whole quote, is debunked because first off we're talking about Specializations.....and the only thing about Specializations that is gameplay oriented are the perks.....and again, we (at halo waypoint) made the idea of the Pursuit system that gets rid of the perks.......so again, you're argument is at a loss. This new idea is keeping with the player investment design but without perks.
ITS ALL JUST COSMETIC!!!!
