Chief, no contest. S3's are made to be expendable, his armor simply isn't nearly as good, nor is his training.

The Noble SIIIs had armor just as good as the Chiefs (at the time of Reach), perhaps better, and the SIII augmentations are just as good as the Chiefs and other SIIs. Only difference is level of experience and length of training, but since Noble Six is also labelled "hyper lethal" then I'll count them as pretty evenly matched. What does John have over Six? Experience, luck. What does Six have over John? Extensive "lone wolf" mentality.

High Charityにより編集済み: 6/10/2013 2:34:49 AMNo, their augmentation was not the same. See the "expendable" point made above. Nor was their armor. True, N6 had MJOLNIR armor, but it was a modified Mark V, Chief uses Mark VI (which, you guessed, is better than its predecessor). And considering John has been alone since Reach, that lone wolf mentality advantage is useless as well.

I didn't say the same, I said "just as good". N6 and the Chief both had Mark V at the time of Reach, and seeming as 6 died on Reach I'd say it is unfair to use future technology against 6. As for the "Lone Wolf" thing. How long was Chief alone after escaping Reach until the destruction of the Ark? A few months? Six had been alone for years.
SIII augmentations are just as good as the Chiefs and other SIIs.
Incorrect. There was a reason for higher survival rates and cheaper augmentation procedures. The trade off was that the genes of the Spartan III's were less "perfected" than the Spartan IIs, hence the IIs produced superior results. The reason for higher success rates was due to an improvement in technology true, but the catalytic thyroid implant was exempted from the III's procedure, increasing the survival rate. The thyroid implant significantly increases the user's strength, thus proving why III's are physically inferior to II's.

SIII augmentations are cheaper yes..... but was there anything that said they were less extensive? I was under the impression that they were simply refined and less risky with the added bonus that later batches of SIII candidates had the two controversial augmentations that heightened aggression and allowed them to fight despite serious injury. As for the armour, yes thats why I said "Noble SIIIs" rather than just SIIIs.
