Because Marathon looks like everything PvP players want.
The funny thing with that though, is a lot of those players wont admit that just so they can complain about marathon more.
I'm playing it now... it needs to be clean though... not ****ed like Arc Raiders.
From what I've heard from friends who play Arc Raiders, its already turning into a similar thing with destiny's pvp. There is just people constantly claiming others are cheating, with no proof, just because they got beat by someone else.

Agree with your first point. In addition, it's not traditional FPS PVP. The core objective isn't killing the other players. There's no deathmatch. But it does remind me of Destiny, if they kept locked skill trees. Especially the Titan, I mean... Locus, ahem... I mean Destroyer. 2. I wish I was wrong. Arc Raiders is ****ed. From the matchmaking to exploits... this studio wasn't ready. For the opposition. And yes, similar to when Destiny 2 came to PC. Bungie wasn't ready. And they've been playing catch-up and whack-a-mole ever since. But that's not it. Trading, gray market trading combined with duping will kill this game. I wager, you can buy all the best **** already. Just progress your character, then you'll be able to pay someone to just give you everything. I already saw a clip. No, I'm not providing the link... even though it's a different game. Player says... what you looking for? This rare blueprint. Oh, I just got one out of that container... I don't need it, I got like 6. Gives to that player. His buddy enters the conversation, what are you guys talking about? I just gave him 'that' blueprint... And then that dude dropped the same rare AF blueprint on the ground. A. I'm 99.9% there's duping... probably exploiting memory leaks with an editor. Which has been a problem in this game, but the loot progression is fundamentally different in AR. However, Salt's teammate got banned for it. B. Nothing is limiting or preventing a gray market. You can just give your **** to other players. That's what kills Arc Raiders. It's already dead. I hate saying that. You'll start seeing it with the resets. You can voluntarily reset your character... and those benefits stack. Watch how fast that is going to happen with some players. You have to build a loot bank... for max benefits. People are going to buy that. There's all these fetch quests for random ****. People are going to circument those quests through the gray market. Then after you reset, you have to get all the stuff you want/use back. People will buy that. Gray market trading kills AR.
