No, it hasn't. It is not universally hated and a good amount like it, like myself. The portal is fine and is something the community has been asking for. The problem with the portal isn't the portal, it's the impatience of the community. It's obviously a work in progress and not a finished product. Bungie said this from the beginning. They are working on it, including adding all the old activities. The community just ignored that and wants to complain cause it's not finished. What's funny is if they got rid of the portal, the community would then start loving it and wishing it was back. Just like they did with pathfinder.
