l Xemnasにより編集済み: 5/8/2025 7:19:33 AMThe starting class for warlocks in d1 is voidwalker, where blink originated. The starting class for hunter in d1 is gunslinger. The second subclass for hunter is bladedancer where they unlock blink. What is the thought process that blink is an original hunter jump?

Misremembering a 10 year old game, corrected posts. It's something they shared (and lorewise Warlocks taught to Hunter haha). Nonetheless, my argument is other classes getting a WEAPON interaction, not taking subclass traits.

While i have no complaints for or against, I'd personally prefer they give some kind of synergy to the other classes with other factions. Giving Titans some Cabal weapon synergy and Hunters Fallen weapon synergy would be nice. I could see hunters getting some kind of synergy with Fallen weapons through mask of bakris, but titans i got nothing.

That's not what the lore says at all. Plus necrotic grips is tied to warlocks fantasy and always has been no matter what game you play or fantasy there is. It's necromancy its not your average generic poison. You want a taste of it that's exactly what osteo striga gives you.

Paledrakeにより編集済み: 5/8/2025 7:14:31 AMHunters (and Warlocks evidently) had blink in D1. Then D2 Launched, suddenly no longer in their kit. Voidlock had it though. Took Arc 3.0 to get Blink back on Hunter. Things can be shared across classes. And getting Synergy/Benefits for Weapons that aren't Warlock exclusives (and made by Hunters and Titans canonically) shouldn't be the reach y'all are making it out to be. Just thought it'd be cool especially with how little that Exotic actually sees use.

Lichにより編集済み: 5/8/2025 7:26:39 AMSo you didn't even play d1. It also mentions under triva that several pieces of armor mention that hunters learned to blink from warlocks. Because again necromancy is warlocks identity no matter which game you play or fantasy you play. Warlocks have always been associated with necrotic powers. Blood magic ... etc. Even the powers of necrotic comes from a lich. Meanwhile, hunters/rogues have always been associated with their own version of poison. Made up from herbs, plants animals insects. Class identity is good it makes them classes feel unique bungie -blam!- it up when they married the subclasses. In void 3.0. Again you want necrotic powers there's osteo striga.
