It also doesn't help that it caught a lot of nerfs purely because of Prismatic being too op, and Bungie refusing to balance Combination Blow separately for Prismatic.

Prismatic is a blight on the game. Makes it impossible to balance classes effectively anymore. Balance something for prismatic and you kill the standard class off by making it useless, buff it for the standard class and it cranks it to 11 for prismatic, still making it useless in the standard class but now it's OP in prismatic. It really feels like bungie leads don't think beyond the release of the expansion

I've been thinking the same thing since they first announced Prismatic. It was a mistake from the start, especially with its own dedicated second super (Transcendence). Prismatic needs custom tuning in order to be balanced in a sandbox where the OG classes are viable too.

I disagree, a majority of titan subclasses still fill their own niches and solar/stasis/arc warlock have their use cases. But for hunter though it just feels like prismatic does everything better than every other subclass with I guess the exception being strand (but -blam!- cares about mobility like that when it doesn't have lethality to match) They just need to find playstyles for base subclasses that you can't achieve on prismatic (that are also fun and viable). That doesn't have to necessarily HAVE to lead to power creep. Hoping the next aspect for solar hunter is great in PvE, solar hunter really needs it.

You said that my opinion was worthless cos I don’t do GMs often 🤣 so how come you aren’t checking other peoples stats before engaging with their opinions 🤣 better yet why are you engaging with the community if you feel that a raid report is a good reflection of how experienced someone is. Everyone who plays is allowed to have a say regardless of what content they engage in. I still stand by what I said about skill issue and I’m entitled to have that opinion. It’s crazy that you simultaneously have a god complex and some mad insecurities 👍🏼

Sure there are some small niches that a standard subclass will fill over their prismatic counterparts. Overall those niches are for a small minority of playstyles amd builds with little reason to actually run them when a prismatic variant will handle more problems, often easier, than their non-prismatic counterpart. Thats not even mentioning the free juiced up grenade you get for using prismatic.
