Arc hunter feels unusable in higher tier content without Gifted Conviction. (also it just feels way worse than Arc Titan or Arc Warlock)
I don't know how to fix Arc Hunter but something has gotta be done about it. It feels so much weaker than Arc Warlock and Arc Titan. Part of that is due to how garbage every exotic on Arc Hunter is (other than gifted conviction) but the biggest issue of Arc Hunter is the fact that it is a subclass that forces you to be near enemies constantly yet gives you no way to heal outside of combination blow.
Want to take advantage of bolt charge? You lost your only source of healing because you need to run tempest strike in order to do so. (also that source of healing is objectively better on Prismatic AND does more damage)
I've seen some cope about Raiden Flux being good for arc staff but the problem is that outside of your super you hit like wet paper and have no survivability. The days of hiding behind your teammates until you can be useful is OVER. I would like to see Raiden Flux get some kind of neutral benefit. (maybe jolt lightning strikes heal you?)

I get that arc hunter isn’t the most op thing in the world but it’s definitely viable. Titan and warlock have subclasses that are similar where they’re not the best ever but definitely still very viable. And Hunter has subclasses that are insanely good just like warlock and titan. Everything can’t be op. It’s all decently balanced with titan/warlock/hunter each having strengths. Yes some subclasses are doing a lil better rn, but it’ll always be like that. Point is, every subclass has good builds for endgame, you just gotta build into their strengths.

9 通の返信It also doesn't help that it caught a lot of nerfs purely because of Prismatic being too op, and Bungie refusing to balance Combination Blow separately for Prismatic.

Arc Hunter has been SEVERELY outclassed by Arc Titan and Warlock. Void Hunter only has one option in endgame activities, and Solar Hunter has *decent* potential. Stasis is..... Garbage. And Strand is... Mediocre.... I hate to say it, but Hunters need a rework in all departments.

Gathering Storm....exists. Also you can get bolt charge from weapons, so you don't HAVE to run tempest. I mean I'll absolutely take a buff lmao but calling it unusable says more about the user than the subclass IMO.

Cope with raiden flux? I disagree. The lethal current melee counts for the hands on perk, charging your super insanely fast. So every encounter you have basically 3 supers if you know what you're doing. If you dont know what you're doing i would count it under skill issue

13 通の返信I put Arc Hunter in the same category in my brain as late stage Fall Out Boy and Clam Chowder. It isn't [b][i][u]bad[/u][/i][/b], but it isn't very good, and I'm probably not gonna pick it if something better is available.

8 通の返信Mothkeepers exists. I run motherkeeper builds in GMs all the time because they can both blind and jolt making then stun 2 different champions. Plus they can save yourself and teammate with the overshield.

8 通の返信Arc hunter is fine for what it’s been doing for the last decade. Assassins cowl with tractor cannon and 12punch shotgun & you’re good to go. I think at one point arc hunter was clearing GMs faster then any other class, at least before prismatic.

I've had decent success with a Bolt Charge centric Gathering Storm build running Raiju's Harness. Hard to say if the artifact is what bridges the gap on it, and you do need some sort of way to generate orbs to make survival possible as no amount of DR reduces damage to zero.

[i]Titan[/i] is definitely the [b]peak[/b] right [i]now[/i], and was [b]peak[/b] in [i]Plunder[/i]. [i]Arc-Lock[/i] has arguably been the [b]most[/b] viable across the existence of [i]Arc 3.0[/i]. [i]Hunter[/i] is definitely in an awkward spot. My recommendations for viable [i]Endgame Builds[/i]? [i]Foetracer[/i]. [i]Lucky Pants[/i]. [i]Shinobu's Vow[/i]. [i]Mechaneers[/i] (w/ Indebted). These all offer gunplay and midrange engagements.
