This is why e-readers exist. Or even just the kindle app on a phone or tablet works. You can change the font style and size to be whatever you want (dyslexic friendly fonts exist), change colours if black on white is too bright for you, etc. As a visually impaired reader myself, who had the childhood pain of having to read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 5 ring-bound A4-page 18-font-size physical volumes, the solutions are much better these days.
