I have been reading Watership Down the last several days and have been really enjoying it! I watched the Netflix adaptation years ago and liked that, and so far the book has been even better!
Heart of the World is just sitting mostly untouched on my bookshelf.😶 I’ll probably read it after finishing Watership Down and Mistborn.
Icey Wyngeにより編集済み: 6/14/2024 8:28:06 PMAlmost finished reading Once Upon a Broken Heart. It’s really good so far, not the kind of romance I usually read but I’ve found it entertaining. I think ima start re-reading the hobbit soon though, I’ve been in the mood for it recently.

I was reading through the Grimoire Anthology, Dark Mirror is really good. I also read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as well as Goblet of Fire. I have a ton of books I wanna read but then I just don’t and I don’t know why.

4 通の返信I have a prescription of +5 in my left eye and +7 in my right. On top of that, I’m dyslexic and I have ADD. The universe doesn’t want me to read.

CoolHandLuke04により編集済み: 6/12/2024 2:12:07 PMThe Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three, The Wastelands, Wizard and Glass, Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah culminate to……The Dark Tower. I’m not a huge fan of King’s horror writings, but this fantasy/western series is an absolute masterpiece. It’s one of those series that I read through every 6 months to a year because it’s that good!

3 通の返信Stormlight Archives. Knocked out the last book yesterday. Pretty good, but not the best starting point for the wider Cosmere lol. I got so confused when Hoid started talking about Adonalsium and Investiture. A short trip to the wiki page helped though.

Hypnogagia, I think it’s spelled? It’s a book one of my online buddies wrote. I’ll admit I haven’t read a ton of it, though. Which, to be fair, I’m not really into horror, and he’s a horror writer, but I’m still trying! :p
You leave me no choice! I will have to break into your house and burn all of your books except HotW! Then you won’t have a choice what to read! I’m certain this plan will have 0 collateral damage! Yes, this is a good plan!
1 返信I need to get to the Lord of the rings books but I'll probably just listen to it narrated by Andy Serkis

Last “book” I read was Divergent cause I was bored and heard stuff about it. Unless you’re bored/a teenager and can stop thinking while you read, I wouldn’t really recommend it. It’s like the cookie cutter teen drama novel. Manga wise, I’m just caught up with Go! Go! Loser Ranger. A pretty neat series that recently got a pretty good anime adaptation on Hulu.
There’s also Dungeon Tower which is pretty neat and has good art/architecture, but only 6 or 7 chapters so far. Same author that wrote Blame! if anyone read that. (I might later) A good short/“one-shot” manga I’d recommend is either Look Back (getting an anime movie soon) or Goodbye, Eri. They were both by Tatsuki Mujimoto who wrote Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch, and boy does he like being unpredictable, especially with Gb,E. Both are quick reads. Around half an hour or less depending on your reading speed. (I’m bad with time, and slow at reading.)
A good book would be Magician: Apprentice/Master by Raymond E. Feist. Good story. Decent follow up stories too. I read three or so of the next books, then stopped cause moneys and time.

1 返信I haven't read a book in over 20 years which is sad because I used to love it but all the forced reading in High School did something to me that I just can't enjoy reading anymore. Audiobooks are fine, but these days I mostly just listen to podcasts.

I loved Watership Down. A thriller with bunnies, who knew? Right now I'm reading a series about a Grim Reaper private detective. "First Grave on the Right". I'm also part way into two other fantasy series, but my library doesn't have them all. I've got a ton of credit at my local used books store so I'll head down there. Haven't read a physical book since Covid; everything had been in my iPad.
