We get at each others throats so much... I'm just laying it out there. I barely play D2 PvP... so yeah, from my perspective... those resources, and the lack of conflict between the 2 sandboxes would make PvE better. Just trying to be positive. However, if you're a PvP player (royal - meaning the consensus) it is unlikely Bungie is going "SAVE" PvP... Unless, they organize... PLAY, and start taking accountability for the bad behavior. The most important thing though, IS start PLAYING, sherpa'ing, organizing, and evangelizing their mode (PvP).

I barely ever set foot into Crucible, and when I do I’m quickly reminded why, lol. All the issues with D2 PvP just lead to the playlists cannibalizing themselves, and rather than try to lessen the suck all around, you get a very toxic portion of the population screwing over everyone else with no regard for pretending to encourage sportsmanship. It’s just old at this point. Let PvP burn. Oh, but don’t forget to preorder Marathon!

That might be Bungie's plan despite Marathon's poor reception pre-alpha testing. Separate the 2 sandboxes with 2 games.... And you're correct PvP players keep flip-flopping... they discarded checkmate tuning (in its infancy)... They gatekeep progression for short term gains... at the bottom of the pyramid. Gatekeep the Lighthouse, Stomp in Ascendant Comp knocking people off the mountain. I get all that. However, they raze and salt the fields with tactics, exploits, & behavior that prevents anything from growing. That's huge part of the culture, and it's not good. Right now, they should be advocating for casual play/players... If they want good endgame, niche mechanics and modes... PvP needs a good base. That's it, that's the solution. The only solution I see for D2. Logistically, though, 2 different games makes more sense.
