PLAY!!!
Get your friends to play, sherpa new & PvE players.
Set up discord groups for both casual & hardcore PvP.
Don't exploit matchmaking or Network systems.
Don't use Macros, scripts, aim assist passthroughs for M&K inputs, modded gamepads, & hardware add-ons.
You probably only have 11 months.
The metrics, from a little birdy, is getting dangerously close to below 10% of weekly overall numbers for PvP across all platforms.
If you guys don't get those numbers up, D2 might not have PvP after the saga is over. That's brass tax.
Even if it's not removed, Player metrics inform budgetary allocations, the more the numbers drop... the less people play... it WILL directly impact development resources for PvP.
Shoutout to Jonty (fantastic PvE sherpa), we need more players like them in PvP.
Be that player, be that clan... be that discord.
That's it. That's your shot. If not, it doesn't look good.

The biggest issue is Bungie. The PvP teams, their leadership and anyone else involved need to be taken off the mode. They are bad at what they do and cannot bring health or balance to the game. Put them somewhere that is not so technical and requires little knowledge and out of the box thinking.

1 返信Morakxにより編集済み: 1/24/2024 6:47:28 PMIm sorry but wtf are you talking about? Have you even been here for longer than like 3 months? Pvp player numbers have been great for years, yet we havent even had a dedicated team thats doing pvp content. We havent seen ANY pvp content updates for 4+ years at some point. And player numbers were up. So your statement could not be more wrong lol. Bungie doesnt cater to certain activities because of engagement numbers. They have entirely given up on the game. And that shows. An abandoned playlist obviously gets declining player numbers. Shocker. Them doing even less than nothing would still be you know, nothing. So who cares. By playing you even give them the entirely wrong signals which in the past and even till this day gave Bungie the wrong signals. Playing when content isnt there just leads to lazyness by the dev. Why invest back into the game when ppl are fine with far below mediocre old content? If we "get the player numbers up" we signal them that they are doing well with their zero effort strat. Ive rarely seen a more wrong post than this one tbh.

Bungie’s working on a few improvements. TFS will provide a boost to numbers. That might be the crunch point for PvP (when we’ll see if the improvements are sufficient enough to hold a decent PvP population). If not, maybe it’s best to call it a day. Bungie’s PvP focus is on Marathon anyway.

So you are either making stuff up as per usual (so far your theories have been wrong) Or you are paying for a guy to lie to you online XD hell pay me ill leak you totally 100% real leaks (sarcasm)

I don't think what happened to gambit is going to happen to pvp. Gambit is an additional mode brought in later. It didn't take off like they hoped, and they were tired of balancing the game around it. So they're letting it be now. Pvp was here from the beginning and is seen as the other side to the guardian coin. It won't get as much attention as pve, but it'll be fine. It'll get updates, balancing etc, unlike gambit. Now excuse me while I cry about that since i like gambit lol.

Or at least some sort of signal that Marathon will not be going like this. The PvP is now threatened and the people responsible are supposed to get a free pass? That will not be happening. Hopefully those numbers go up, for everyone's sake. (You have not seen true whiny baby levels yet. Who is it that you think is the most whiniest babies of them all?) If this is truly the case then can you tell the little birdy to tell someone to tell someone to tell someone to tell someone else that someone needs to really communicate to "PvP players" that they need to play and that its also really our turn to have the game working the way we really want it to for real.

At this point, I think its unlikely that the PvP in this game will ever be back to what it used to be at least from a numbers perspective. However, I also dont see Bungie outright removing PvP either. The PvP community has endured a lot over the years, but that would be the final straw for a lot of people who enjoy the pvp occasionally even if they are not "pvp mains" and they would just quit the game altogether at that point.

The big thing is, I feel Destiny needs a game solely for PVP. Not only that, but custom PVP also needs to be open and more customizable. How far could you customize Halo Reach's OG PVP experience on Xbox 360 in 2010 and yet Destiny 2 struggles in 2024? They also need to increase the sandbox of PVP content. Imagine how cool it would be to play "infection" in Destiny. Do you remember how infection started in Halo? It was a common thing in the community that made it a simple courtesy rule. 1 weapon (often the shotgun) and the energy sword. The zombies are picked and when you are killed by a Zombie (or suicide) you switch to your sword. They used classic free for all. Bungie eventually picked it up. The same with Grifball which was actually a joke made by Rooster Teeth, but whatever.

I don’t think you understand the money around the pvp section of this game. Nothing is going away. Nothing is added, there’s nothing to look forward to but a 8 mission TFS campaign with a seasonal activity, 1 raid, 1 strike, 1 pvp map, 1 ornament for IB, 1 new weapon for IB and Trials and GMs. That’s it. Nothing less, nothing more, whatever the numbers.
