It’s not all bows…. When’s the last time you saw someone dominating with an Astynax or a Biting Winds that wasn’t a streamer making a video… Le Monarque and Wish-Ender are the only 2 that need fixing at the current time. Le Mon is a lightweight bow with high stats for even a precision bow. It has literally 2x the accuracy (the stat that makes precision bows feel good) than other lightweights. It’s a lightweight bow without any of the downsides for its archetype. Wish-Ender is the opposite. Very heavy damage per shot with a perk that gives wallhacks… it’s a peak shot weapon that lets you see through walls. You never get caught during a peak because you know when someone else is going to. I’d also say bow-swapping needs another pass. Maybe adding a lockout after firing a shot where you can’t swap until you knock your next arrow. But, yeah… the rest are fine. Some are good but not broken.

  • I’ve got a Wolftone on my warlock with adagio which is basically free clean up in team shooting scenarios… but it’s garbage to duel with. People can’t duel with bows consistently so they annoy the people that want to duel.

  • 100%. That what bows do. Legendary bows are good, just not broken. I personally have a Strident Whistle that I love despite it being a PvE roll, and I have a wolftone I used in the one flawless run I had.

  • I'm with op on this one. Bows ease of use and campy playstyle are annoying to fight in the least fun way. But really they just deal too much damage per shot. It in both quick play and trials can often just make peaking at all a death sentence especially if they're using wish ender and know your GPS coordinates. It means [u]any[/u] time you end a gunfight not near full health and if its an even gunfight you usually wont be, can be picked off from near any distance. I can and have beaten them it's just as unfun as fighting grenade launcher corner spam to me.

  • I 100% agree that wish-Ender needs adjustment. Make the wall hacks have a 2-3 second timer that starts after a full draw or something. It also does an extra 30 damage per hit over precision frames. I will say is that with bows, you can’t instantly react to things. Almost everything you do has a 0.6s delay to it. That’s not a lot, but it’s enough to cross a lane. Bows definitely slow things down, but they’re not unbeatable. It’s just those 2 problem bows in my opinion, and I think we should adjust them first. After that, if bows are still a problem then we can talk about precision bows in general.

  • I'm starting to think oathkeepers may need touched tbh. As you mentioned that .6 ish response time is pretty much mitigated by them and I'd say the majority of bows I see have them equipped. Imagine if we had an exotic that let you hold a fusion rifle charge at max indefinitely. I'd like to see how not having permanent draw would effect how ppl played them generally And yeah wishenders true site definitely needs to be time limited.

  • Nah all bows have way too much bullet magnetism. When I take cover arrows should be penetrating corners to kill me. Honestly they don’t belong in PvP. Snipers get nerfed into the ground while bows are 2 shot snipers with infinite ammo.

  • 2 shot snipers with infinite ammo, the slowest time to kill in the game, and 0.6s before they can react if they’re caught off guard. Bows have good “magnetism” if they invest in the Accuracy stat, but that accuracy comes with a cost. Generally in the form of poor flinch resistance, near instant perfect draw time, and poor handling. If you’re getting hit around corners, I think that’s more your internet than the bow…

  • Nah they’re very forgiving. I 100% should have whiffed a shot yesterday with Verglas curve, not an internet issue I just straight up wasn’t on target. Yet the game gave me a crit… I don’t think they’re broken. SMG’s and Auto’s will still melt them up close and HC’s can compete against them within their range. Even Pulses can hang with them in 1 on 1 engagements. The issue is they just don’t have any primary competition at long range. A good scout can compete but bows are more flexible in close to medium than Scouts so you’re better off just using a bow. So yeah I don’t think they’re OP they’re definitely good, but no better than SMG’s are. But let’s not pretend they highly skilled precision weapons they’re incredibly easy to land shots with. But all weapons are, aside from maybe sniper.

  • I can agree with that. Landing the shots has never really been the issue for bows - especially precision frames with their very high accuracy stat. They don’t hit around corners like someone else here said, but they are very generous even at long ranges. Scouts being so weak also definitely helps bows a lot. When I’m running a bow, High-Impact pulses are the biggest issue at longer ranges. For legendaries, I’d personally would say that SMGs are at the top. Then pulses, bows and autos. Then Sidearms and handcannons. Then scouts. Exotics are a different beast all together. Adjust them first before we go about nerfing all bows when 2 exotics are the only bows in the top 50 weapons.
