Honestly everyone who makes feedback based on the chase of loot instead of the game's sandbox shouldn't have a voice on the matter. This isn't WoW, RuneScape, or any kind of variation of those games. There's no trading system to make up for your lack of viable RNG.
The "loot chase" argument is made from the perspective of a gambling addict who wants a reason to continue rolling their dice. Asking that Bungie continue to pad out the loot grind which would sacrifice hours to even days of my life in an activity I'd honestly rather not be doing so they can experience a 5 minute dope hit of serotonin from obtaining a rare 5/5 roll is incredibly selfish imo.
The whole point of Destiny is to clear the endgame and you need good loot for that. Your build viability should be based on effort and skill not randomness

well put. the hook for me is the butter gunplay, weapon variety, space magic, and friends. back in D1 I absolutely remember the high of ripping that sweet exotic you've been wanting to try for months. But I also remember months of not using a gun that I wanted to use. i want to build load-outs and shoot things. adding a touch of RNG to make the end of raids interesting is cool. But I am having the least fun in this game when I'm grinding Lost Sectors for a playstyle I want to try.

The conclusion I came to with this between both sides that makes them both happy is this... * Crafted weapons should no longer get enhanced perks or +2 stat bumps * Randomly rolled weapons should be enhance-able similar to Adept raid weapons (This would not apply to normal mode raid weapons to incentivise playing Master for the definitive version of a raid gun) * If sunsetting is necessary which it probably is weapons would have between a 2-4 year life span instead of the original 1 that Bungie stupidly proposed. Random loot chase is important but it shouldn't be the sole way of getting loot, however random loot should be better than the crafted loot due to it being RNG.

Obi-Juanにより編集済み: 10/11/2023 1:40:28 PMAs long as bungie are aware that it's not everyone it's fine. Some people want a gambling/gacha game disguised as a looter shooter, others want a looter shooter where you can log on each week and not feel like you're insanely behind everyone else coz they spent 24 hours farming god rolls and you didn't

The foundation of the game is shooting things. Loot is meaningless without the context of a build you want to try. Here's a test: Take out the "looter" portion of the game. Everyone's inventory has a precise god-roll of every weapon and exotic armor piece. What do you have? A reasonably rich shooter with raids and pvp. Take out the "shooter" portion and you've got Reno Nevada. That's it.

Which is why I suggested many times that all loot be craftable though actual effort. Even getting Deepsight weapons is RNG or extremely limited on a weekly and seasonal basis. How I think it should be is for every rank reset or "Prestige" you get to alter 1 perk on 1 weapon from that activity's associated loot pool or if the loot has no associated vendor then from Banshee-44. That means if you've Prestiged your rank 5 times you could transform a 0/5 weapon to -blam!-. That'd be a simple and easy bad luck protection system if you've Prestiged an activity vendors 5 times and you don't have a perfect roll then honestly you deserve one

I mean, I just play the game. PvP, raids, GMs. I do some seasonal content. More when it's fun , less when it's not. Crafting raid weapons is time consuming, but entirely enjoyable, because I like raids. But here's the real kicker, the real secret: I don't like "strikes" so I don't have Cloudstrike. That. Doesn't. Bother. Me. That's the secret. Just let go of loot locked behind -blam!- you don't like to do. If everyone did this all loot would be locked behind fun. There's really nothing to fix as far as "loot" in this game. You can beat almost any content with almost any load out. There are a million ways to skin a cat in this game, and the fourth best in class option performs nearly as well as the best in class. On top of that it has never been easier in Destiny to just get the gear you want and start playing. Most folk are here for the quick dopamine hit of pulling a slot machine lever.

Nah they made focusing a thing for Ritual Playlists but quadrupled the odds for pretty much everything by increasing perks pools and loot tables. All weapons used to have a 1 in 8,000 average odds of getting -blam!- god roll now it's a 1 in 40,500 average of getting -blam!- god roll. I'm not here for that chase, I'm here for the shooter aspect. Even when I get an item I'm grinding for immediately I never feel any excitement about it, because I've often had to work excessively for other items. I'd be more accurate to say I was relieved to not have to get dead set on another miserable grind My only goals in D2 are the end game Day Ones, Masters, GMs, ect and for Day Ones especially that loot has to be on point you need an arsenal ready for a variety of encounter types. Btw if most people were just here for the gamble feeling of RNG my comment wouldn't be the most upvoted on this post

Obi-Juanにより編集済み: 10/11/2023 1:43:16 PMIt's what you make it. Collecting every gun, only collecting the meta, getting triumphs, getting seals, doing challenges, setting yourself personal challenges, just a game you play for the gameplay with no goals necessarily in mind, just trying each activity once then playing something else... whatever you want destiny to be it can be. the game caters to lots of different demographics
