I can appreciate people being upset over this turn of events (I don't understand it, but I appreciate it), but is it really such a devastating change that it warrants quitting the game altogether, or is it more a culmination of grievances and this is the final straw?

I think it’s not just this but an accumulation of things over a long time and this is the final straw for some people. Especially those people who have invested a lot of hours to grind the shards. My final straw was awhile ago but I occasionally read the forums to keep abreast of the game’s state and the community’s general outlook. To see if I want to try it out again. From what I read, nothing ever seems to really change.

I suppose it's just a matter of where an individual draws the line as far what they can tolerate. As I've told others, I'm not blind to the issues in the game but I still manage to enjoy playing and get what I feel is my money's worth enough to see past them. Or at least most of them, anyway. To be honest, there've been quite a few players posting on the forum who can't seem to recognize when they've reached their limit and continue to pay and play despite what I can only imagine is a level of frustration likely to lead them to health issues, and that's in need of serious introspection before they cause harm to themselves. Maybe they just need someone to tell them it's okay to walk away. After all, players such as you and the OP did it and what's best for your own sanity, for lack of a better term, should be of paramount importance.

Well said. I haven’t played Destiny 2 in awhile but I still like the game for multiple reasons. Mobility and gunplay always come to mind. I just don’t like it enough right now to reinvest time in it, especially with so many other games that peak my interest. I dare say I will play it again, but I won’t be taking it too seriously. A more casual approach.

Bungie has lied, f**led us over, penny pinched us, and resold us content multiple times. They’ve made BILLIONS. From investors, Sony, selling DLC, cosmetics, suing cheat providers ect. They nerf everything into the dirt. I can go on forever. I’ve supported this game the last almost ten years. Bought destiny consoles, multiple copies of the game for pc, ps5, and Xbox series X and ALL the DLCs for each. PLUS my two kids… I’m so sick of these bullshit changes 24/7.

Fair enough, I respect your decision. I was merely trying to understand the need to stop playing over something like this. But as you've illustrated, this has clearly been coming to a head for you. Good luck with your future endeavors.
