They don't need an excuse. They're not obligated to help people billions of miles away.

Nor are we obligated to aid them. If I had my way, my Titan would look at them with barely restrained contempt. Going there not to save their city, but only to find the Veil, obliterate all opposition, save Earth, and humanity. Neomuna is not a primary or even secondary concern. If the Neptunians aid the Titan in the quest then perhaps he can aid them in return, but obstruct him and simply be added to the body count. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sure but they weren’t helping themselves either. Or have we forgotten that there have been at least two solar system endangering events? The Cabal trying to blow up Oryxs ship, right next door to then. The Almighty detonating would of killed them too. So their inactivity doesn’t make sense.

Things called satellites? And how risky it is being blind to the outside world? Not real smart to be ignorant to threats until they are literally on your doorstep. We know that they’ve been traveling around the Solar system. We had a class item in D1 about them. D2 has lore about them going around to space stations. Kinda seems the other way around, why on earth would they not want to know?
Except Destiny has established its satellite network covers the solar system.
My man, we literally just found out about Neomuna hundreds of years after it was created. We don't have a system that tracks every movement across the entire solar system, & even if we did, that wouldn't mean Neomuna magically does too.
-
Maybe the hidden city part eluded you when they talked about Neomuna? I dunno… We can detect things as far out as Pluto. And didn’t the cloudstrider in the trailer say they know what’s going on? That’s right. He did. So, apparently they do know. What else did he say? About not having lives to spare? Looks like I was right.

Space is big in the game too, bud. Ghaul made it all the way to Earth undetected. Oryx made it to Saturn & we only found out because of Eris & the reef. The hive made it to earth undetected. The fallen came to pretty much every planet we go to undetected. Humanity has been relegated to one city on earth & apparently one city on Neptune. It's ridiculous to think we have an all-seeing system of satellites that can identify any ship, anywhere in our solar system.

Not seeing any part of that which is refuting the fact that Neomuna is aware of what’s going on. So you’re wrong. Ghaul made it to Earth undetected because one of the Nine interfered. It’s ridiculous to compare “any ship” to a massive fleet and try to twist my words. The City isn’t as advanced as Neomuna either. You’re using the least capable of the two as the bench mark. Looks like you got nothing. Try again on some other topic.
Not seeing any part of that which is refuting the fact that Neomuna is aware of what’s going on.
You've lost the plot. I'm arguing against you saying "satellites" like it's a satisfactory explanation for Neptunians to be aware of everything that's happening in the solar system in real time. Unless they have some scene where King Neptune goes on a soliloquy about them being aware of the shield Brothers & the Almighty in real time but choosing not to do anything about it, there's no reason to believe they knew it was happening.

In the face of a threat to humanity, everyone is obligated to help. After the Black Fleet left, Neomuna should have started helping Earth. But they decided to just huddle beneath their cloak. If Nobody on our side calls them out on it, I'm going to be very disappointed in the writers.

The forces that arrived in Sol were after humanity and attacked wherever it was found.Hiding only protects you until you're found, you cannot explore or grow. You are stuck hiding beneath your cloak. By your logic,Rohan should have let Gondor fall?
