The Cloudstriders, the Heroes of Neomuna.
Noble, brave, they sacrifice their lifespans to gain the power to face the impossible. They suffer from what I call the "Wakanda Problem". Neomuna like Wakanda had the power to help their fellows. They didn't even have to send troops or the Cloudstriders. Just some automated supply ships every couple of years would have helepd.
Yet they did nothing but hide in their paradise, while earth suffered a steady stream of existential threats. The Cloudstriders, the Heroes of Neomuna.

The only exceptable excuse is that there is a whole other set existential threats that Neomuna has been occupied holding back.
I'm Calling BS if the Last City isn't bitter and resentful towards the Neomuna.

7 通の返信Remember that Rasputin said the data surrounding Neomuna was deleted by someone. So assuming the whole colony is run by an Ai, it probably ran calculations similar to Rasputin and its goal was to keep their people alive even if it ment sacrificing earth. It's also likely they only learned about survivers on earth over the last 100 years or so. Remember, the city age has only lasted for 50-60 years. Before that, humans lacked space travel since the dark age focused on territory control. So it's probable that for the 100-300 years the dark age lasted, the colony on Neomuna had no contact with earth due to lack of technology so they assumed everyone died.

hide in their "paradise"... not likely a paradise considering it's neptune... like, as if anything can grow in the ground there; it's too far away from our sun. im taking a leap here but i suspect the cloudstriders are aka cloudwalkers. there was a hunter cloak in d1 called 'tribute to the cloudwalkers'. have yet to read much about them but from what i gathered they managed to escape the collapse and some sought refuge on neptune, possibly. i can't wait to explore it and finally meet them! -
26 通の返信They don't need an excuse. They're not obligated to help people billions of miles away.

18 通の返信So an excuse like...they were to remain hidden at all costs wouldn't work? Being told you are perhaps hope for another civilization but you need to remain hidden until some time down the road, and maybe not even ever be found. We don't know the situation. Wars don't have to involve everyone. There was reason to associate with us, it wasn't needed.

3 通の返信That’s because in the og storyline, the Traveler wasn’t the good guy and the Vanguard were bad guys. So Neomuna had to stay away. Now it gets retconned and doesn’t make sense.

2 通の返信The idea behind Cloudstrinders goes both ways... We didn't know about them and they didn't know about Earth since they weren't aware of Earth at all if you follow the whole Embryo thing Clovis had in lore. And it would make sense if they were born during the colonisation of Neptune because they had Exos to raise them and they could've adapted quicker to the way of life regular Earth born people couldn't
