You're getting lots of flack so allow me to offer support haha
Let's say we don't nerf guardian power and just make tougher activities. First, that's already been happening if you compare Spire dungeon to Pit of heresy. And I don't like the trajectory of dungeon difficulty to be completely honest, because infinite and ample add spawns is kind of absurd. It's manageable for Duality and Spire, but the fact that they had to load Spire to the brim with Supplicant harpies should be a red flag vis-a-vis difficulty trajectory. I.e., we've become so strong that it's become necessary to add a troop to activities whose sole purpose in life is to be extremely annoying lol.
So yeah I totally agree with you. Without nerfs to guardian power, enemy power has no choice but to reach absurd heights. And that's not what I play the game for.

Very solid and valid argument. But mine was leaning more into the “making investments matter” part. I don’t see how being super-powerful at no trade-offs is interesting or fun. The trade-offs to maximize an ability gives it more weight, makes it matter more. And if I’m putting all this time and effort into builds, I want it to MATTER.
