I’m sure it will, though likely as a finisher mission to an exotic quest (like the last word mission), rather than a secret, hidden away whisper or presage deal. But if we didn’t have dungeons we would have gotten more of these missions in their place, last year is proof of this.

Now we are looking at 2 exotics for every small content drop, one from the season pass, and one from ‘highlight’ activities. This is more relavant to the content bungie is able to put out than dungeons directly, but that second exotic will be coming from dungeons rather than exotic missions in any season that has a dungeon (or a returning raid). I would list them but that’s ridiculous even for me. And not im not saying there is proof, I’m just interpreting what I can to speculate on what might be. I mean I doubt secrets in this game will disappear entirely, but the way I see it bungie now prefers to sell dungeons to us than make secret missions (otherwise why make the dungeon key, it was to give buyers something solid to look forward to - regular seasonal endgame content with exotic rewards).

If I had to guess, things are going to be about as consistent as they’ve always been. Dungeons are an addition. Not any kind of replacement. “Mission that gives exotic” is going to be there just as often as ever.

Fair enough, and I definitely won’t be complaining if and when it comes because content is content and theres no way they would make us pay for that individually. And hey if next season we get a presage style exotic I’ll be as shocked as anyone, after lightfall not so much. But either way its new stuff. I think until lightfall its up in the air as to what we get, and mission in that style inside neomuna would be amazing, but considering bungies history of turning strikes into quest missions (birthplace of the vile) I still wouldnt hold out hope for anything more than a repeat of vox - which was really the worst of the bunch regarding these kind of missions though Id love to be wrong.
