Before I make fun of you and this post, think about the reaction and replies had I posted the following:
“Bungie Please Stop Forcing Players To Play PvE”
I would have been downvoted into oblivion.
So, I say this with only the utmost kindness, but suck it up. It’s a PvPvE game.

Well yeah they are telling a story….and pvp is part of that story in testing ones light and will in the crucible hints why no other guardian besides ours actually is known do get things done amongst the massive amount of other guardians we hear nothing about

its a pve game that just so happens to have a pvp side. it is is a pvepvp game pray tell how much pvp content have you had in the last 3 years compared to pve content ? its obvious one side is more important then the other

So because Bungie has failed the pvp side of things for quite a long time despite claims of a renewed focus in pvp (yes we are waiting on it still), you think you can discern what this games true purpose is? Despite what it’s actually been and has been marketed as.. since d1 Truly I don’t get the entitlement of anyone who cries about being “forced” into pvp. Pretty sure we are all “forced” to do something for a quest objective. How entitled do you gotta be to think you only deserve certain objectives? On top of that, how’re you still not bored running the same crap over n over again if you only do pve is beyond me

Well said. If you actually think about the full game it has a lot more going on for the PvE side then PvP. Main story/ each season/ any new DLC- PvE Dares of Eternity- PVE Public Events like Blind Well and Wellspring, Nightmare Hunt- PvE Specials such as Raids, Dungeons, Legendary/Master Lost Sectors- PvE Vanguard Ops- PvE Open world- exploring- public events- normal lost sectors-patrols, and most bounties (outside the designed Crucible ones) all PvE Special Events like Solstice- main event typically PvE game play. Maybe for some side requirements dip into PvP, but overall not much. Gambit- PvEvPvP- and really some matches can have very little PvP direct interaction depending on amount of invaders. Crucible- PvP. So really a lot more to do on the PvE side of things.
