Bungie, please stop forcing people into PVP.
While I enjoy the game there is one aspect I really wish Bungie would address.
Not everyone enjoys PVP, some people are poor at it, others hate it, and others agree with Eido.
"Guardians throw their lives away for sport, in games like Crucible and Gambit, taking the miracle of resurrection for granted. As if Ghosts needed the Humans, and not the other way around. Eliksni have had their blessings from the Great Machine, it's true, but we've never known the power that Ghosts grant humanity. I think that if Eliksni became Guardians, we would use the Light to serve the Great Machine, not our own amusement."
Personally, I hate PVP with a deep unbridled passion and I do not find Bungie very inclusive in the fast that they ignore this part of the community.
The latest example of Bungie forcing players into PVP can be found in the current event card with the "Forged in Flame" Challenge. Kill 100 guardians, no alternate way to complete it.
Please change this to killing guardians or champions. Give the people who do not like PVP an alternate way of completing it.
Also, please carry this over to the older quests. Like the catalyst quests for Ticuu, Cyrosthesia, Lorentz Driver and others.

The one thing I did not see, was a remark from anyone representing Bungie. I guess I now know the motto of Bungie customer service. "If we ignore the customer maybe they will go away." Very disappointing. I almost cried when I saw the Engineering Values Handbook Bungie posted this week. "Keep it fun", yeah, right, sure. Keep ignoring your customers and tell yourself that.

I'm a "casual" Trials player with mid range playing, kills excetra but yeah I agree with you on this post. Being a Military vet I'm playing with some physical handicaps that will forever hinder me from being a top player nor do I wish to be, I have nothing to prove and no ego involved in It so yeah I get It. For the players that don't want to play PVP I too wish Bungie would tone way down this forced PVP stuff they introduce into the game. So here's hoping Bungie reads this kind of feedback but down hold your breath..

Well, I am now at the point where I have no choice but to go into the Crucible if I want the last piece of kindling to upgrade the final piece of my armor during the Solstice event. I know I am not good at PVP, but I did a control match anyway. My combat effencency was 0.17 and I got 4 kills. NOT FUN I play this game to have fun and relax, this is not fun. I saw in the TWAB where you are working on the skill balancing in the Crucible matchmaking. I honestly do not care. I have been burned in the Crucible far too many times and I highly resent being forced back into it. Then there is the absolute toxicity of the PVP players here in the forums. Please, for the love of every god in every Parthenon (real or imaginary) stop forcing players into PVP for seasonal/festival rewards.

4 通の返信Yeah. My witherhoard is still terrible cause I can't get the catalyst for it, so I almost never use it. It really affects my pve experience. I tried getting kills in pvp with a grenade launcher, but I'd rather bang my head against the wall and just forget the weapon exists. Zero fun.

They don't (Queue Bungie minions here) I have spent untold Aussie Dollareedoos on this franchise because I love the the actual game. What I have found is that unless you are a Tuber, Twitcher or some sort of "Celebrity" online mentioning Destiny, Bungie don't give a flying Bat Crotch how much you have spent and what you want from the game! They don't reward the true community, Those who actually spend money. I love this game. I love what it could be, but I aint Famous SO Bungie don't care! Screw the Socials Bungie!! Reward the Players instead! Give them what they want. The game they want! Get OFF the Twitch/Tuber needle Bungie!!!!! CaptYellowBeard

Don't try it, buddy. I've tried plenty of times to express the same problem, here and on steam, only to be ignored by bungie, and attacked by pvp fanboys who will never accept anything that would take their easy targets away.

Those weapons that only drop in PvP....pffffttt keep em, I have all the guns I need, but it would be great to have several exotic quests finished that require PvP for the catalyst. The more items/ events that Bungie gates behind PvP, the less I want to play them and or play Destiny. I have decided to add something to my reasoning.....I did PvP, Army Ranger 75th H company LRRPS in Viet Nam for over a year....I didn't like PvP then, I dont like it now. Peace out....

As a PVP main, if wouldn't be that bad if people were matched by skill, KD, or any stat that provides a fair game for everybody. It would also bring more people to Crucible matches. Bungie have been turning a deaf ear to this matter since Forsaken (that's four years). It's time they step up and do something about it.

3 通の返信I’ll just never understand how you can play only one side of this game lol. How do you not get bored shooting dregs in the same strikes for years? I would have dropped this game a long time ago if I was just a strictly PvP or PvE player.

1 返信Yeah, since PvP is just plainly un-enjoyable I generally skip those steps. I still have a bunch of seasonal challenges missing that involve anything PvP related.

The difference between pvp and PvE players is that the bunch that do pvp can easily run everything over has to offer and PvE players suck so they're left to cry about it on forums. PvP players can raid and run dungeons. PvE players leave in the middle of control and survival matches i doubt they'll ever run a flawless ticket.

4 通の返信I'm with you 100%, they should not be making us PVP we pay for this game and now with the mod boxes for the controllers and then PC and then on top of it every game magazine every game critics it said keyboard and mouse is cheating against console players 100% the PVP system is so so broken there's no balance in it at all and they need to fix it they need to get rid of the cheaters and stop keyboard play

Agreed. Just finished all the event activities except for the PVP 100 kills. I have three, by playing Gambit. I can average maybe 1 per game if all I focus on in Gambit is the PVP aspect. So I have to play at least 80 - 90 rounds of Gambit to get 1 kindle. That is crazy out of balance with the rest of the events. Not doing it. So now the entire reason behind the event is no longer achievable. So I have a partial set of armor that lacks one ignition. I don't know who thought that was a great idea to add that into the activity for this season. I don't play PvP because I don't like PvP for many reasons. I don't want to spend thousands of $$$ on super high end PC system, pay for the cheats they are all using and grind for weeks to get that level experience to keep up. I am not a full time gamer, so I will never "get good" against the higher hour players, and being a low level player I am just cannon fodder. So, just my 2 cents.

3 通の返信Dixaにより編集済み: 7/26/2022 2:05:15 AMI don't get those saying you aren't required to pvp. yes, yes you are required to pvp if you want the glow on the complete set because you don't get enough kindling without doing every achievement. so yes - if you want the fashion - you must pvp. you have no choice. witherhorde is a substantially effective pve weapon, but you must do a horrible pvp bit to complete the catalyst to complete the best part of it - auto loading while you dump your energy or heavy weapon magazine. during iron banner i decided to work on this. apparantly so did many others. immediately the reddit posts whining about iron banner being a 'the floor is lava' game sprung up. sorry, not sorry? if i use your counter-whines, then 'it's part of the game, suck it up buttercup' much as controller users practically aimbotting hand canons in the crucible is 'part of the game' now the BS that is the last stage of the malfeasance quest....
