Any forms of damage buffs, debuffs, breaking aim assist, healing, frozen in place, over shields break pvp and make for a terrible experience. I know destiny is not call of duty but there needs to be a cap of how much of these things go around. Extra damage for example should not go over 10% in pvp, this includes rift, kill clip perks etc. over shields should only provide an extra 10-20 hp. Aim assist breaking whenever hunters dodge is still silly, icarus dash doesn’t do it and they survive just fine. Instant healing right now should cap at 10%, healing grenades should only heal 30% max. Abilities have become power crept especially on pvp, its out of hand. They don’t need to go away, they just need to be toned down for pvp.
The RPG aspects are what sets the game apart. Without them, you're just playing Halo 5 with worse netcode.
*points finger in Homer Simpson* You are just playing Halo 5 with worse netcode but better gunplay.

You're the first person I've heard defending this. I'm guessing you're either really bad and absolutely need these abilities to survive, or you're abusing them in order to further stomp new players who don't even understand how they work.

Kill clip is easily the most abused damage perk in destiny, get a kill which is easy enough as it is and then you get a 33% damage boost. Its braindead and dismisses any form of skill needed. idk what game you are playing but hunter dodge still breaks aim assist lol. The only thing hunters no longer break is projectiles

Kill clip isnt a big deal now that people are using 8 9 and 10 resilience. It basically just makes most guns more forgiving or able to still kill at range. Desperado on the other hand was op. I used to laugh when a team mate would call out that heavy was up. My response " I dont need heavy, i have desperado" Sad to see it go, as I grinded a bit for my god roll messenger, but it had no comparison once proc'd.
