I've always been terrible at CTF modes. So when it comes out I'm probably going to try to be more of a slayer because I think focusing on the objective too hard is where I've screwed up with those modes in the past. In halo and from what I can remember of rift in D1 I just was not good at that kind of mode. It doesn't have to be seen as totally a "gimmick" as much as its just "okay this is not Trials or Survival" or even really IB control in terms of the way that was supposed to work before it started making people mad. IB control is a far more competitive version of control which also could be pretty competitive under certain circumstances. So trying to matchmake that away can just be really hard to do.
