Joy isn't a base emotion. ...and no, I wouldn't use it. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. 1. No one---not even me---is so virtuous that they could resist the temptation to use it to manipulate people to their own advantage forever. 2. At the end of the day, it would be an act of arrogance (and ultimately evil...see point one) to think that I can know what is best for everyone else to the point where I am entitled to override their freewill and insist that they do as I wish instead. 3. Even if I were to use it for good, it assumes that pain and difficulty are glitches in the Universe, and do not serve some other...greater...purpose that I would be interfering with.
