maybe because trials was meant for a team to play and bungie still wants to keep it that way if you have a problem with it play freelance or be quiet

Do you remember how that went? Now that there's crossplay the player population can have freelance and team queues at the same time so all the OG real deal sweatgods can still play it like it was meant to be played. What difference would it really make?

A_moにより編集済み: 3/14/2022 3:39:23 PMIf you're going to argue that you need access to mismatched teams of solos in order to do well then I don't know what else to tell you. Eventually, at some point, people are going to have to figure out for themselves what to do about not being good enough to beat anything but mismatched teams of solos. I never went flawless before last season either but that doesn't change the fact that people probably aren't going to keep lining up to be put on teams that have no chance of winning against stacked teams.

I see your point however there are limits in both what is available and acceptable. Freelance risks bungie of putting an entire seasons worth of work making the stack Playlist terrible again which trials encourages to make a team to do well. It's a social game and endgame pvp. I am not saying they should be grateful to even go in because let's be honest it's a terrible power move. Because after 4 weeks the casual has a god roll of every non adept weapon. However each beginning of the season is when the player pool is large enough that maybe average and below average teams have a chance of going flawless as well. All I am saying is, there are limits. Its a social game and it will be. In game lfg would help but that's the limit. Everything else to succeed depends on the player and before you say its a 2.0kd requirement. It's not, me and my friend carried someone on their 7th game to flawless and we aren't even in the 2.0kd category. I know not everyone is like
must bring good vibes
into trials but there are people there who don't mind someone below average to join their team. You have communication which is more valuable than being able to do well as a duo

A_moにより編集済み: 3/14/2022 4:58:05 PMI love when people say "social" consists of them and their friends doing things to other people. "Its not selfish because its a group!" All I'm saying is that over time, like maybe by the time new Trials has been out for a year, it might not be worth the cloud that gets created over the mode and by extension the entire game. You can already see the effect that peoples' views on PvP (which is just a "side mode") has had on what is arguably the best release Destiny has seen otherwise. Doesn't really matter if they're in a group or not a whole bunch of unhappy people is a whole bunch of unhappy people. I went flawless on a team during team weeks last season, my only question is is that really a good long term approach?

I will say that I did think that over time people playing solo would start to know what to expect from doing that. But that doesn't really account for new or returning players. Its got to be kind of a surprise for someone like that when you get put on basically the worst team the game can put together and have to go up against a 3 stack.

Emet-Selch Is My Uncleにより編集済み: 3/14/2022 5:39:55 AMThen why allow matchmaking to begin with? Bungie clearly wants to make the game mode more accessible but solo players and duo parties aren't gonna want to play if they aren't properly rewarded. It's disheartening to get to 7 wins on a solo ticket, only to not be able to get any post 7 wins rewards because you have to WIN the match in order for them to drop.

and? this game mode was made and built around team play yes there is cross play so their is more options and ya can win after seven you just have to be good that's what trials is about a place where you can hone your skill and win even in the worst scenarios so just get better we all had to start from somewhere I started by goin negative my first season playing trials and now im a 2.0 player put time and effort into the game and enjoy it
