After much thought I quit D2 several weeks ago. This was a difficult decision. However, Bungie has made such a mess out of this game that is it pointless to continue. I am never coming back except to redeem my 22,000 Gunsmith materials before the Witch Queen is released.
I replaced D2 with Halo Infinite, which has much better design, support, and developer response. Thus far I have completed the campaign and 1,600 matches. PvP in Halo is vastly superior to D2. Most of the gamers are solo players without mics. There are 5 new maps coming soon and many other things, including more match types.
Halo has short term Multiplayer events to keep players interested. During the current two weeks Attrition is available. It has revives like Trials, but it is much easier to play than Trials. Attrition requires winning only 2 rounds to win the match. It is so much better than Trials that it puts Bungie to shame with their bad design.
I am never coming back except to redeem my 22,000 Gunsmith materials before the Witch Queen is released.
This sentence makes absolutely non sense for someone ho claims that have quit Destiny definitely.
I replaced D2 with Halo Infinite, which has much better design, support, and developer response. Thus far I have completed the campaign and 1,600 matches. PvP in Halo is vastly superior to D2.
Halo has short term Multiplayer events to keep players interested. During the current two weeks Attrition is available. It has revives like Trials, but it is much easier to play than Trials. Attrition requires winning only 2 rounds to win the match.
Glad you found the correct PvP game.
It is so much better than Trials that it puts Bungie to shame with their bad design.
Again, Destiny is NOT a PvP focused game.

Equally? Not in the slightest. Destiny would die without PvE but it would surely survive without PvP. I even think it would become a better game, considering that Bungie wouldn't have to think about PvP impact when creating new gear and content. But that's just my opinion, others may differ.

Yeah, I don't know. I think Destiny does need both, albeit it needs substantially more PVE than PVP. I just find myself going to PVP more when I've done most of what PVE has to offer. Like, I can do GMs over and over to get a gun I want, to then do what with? Use in more GMs? Personally, once I'm getting into end game content, I start looking at loot more so for it's PVP potential, rather than how I can use it to do what I just did. PVE at a certain point is static in the challenges it presents, so I think you need PVP for some longevity. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I believe I would've lost interest in PVE a long time ago if there was no possibility to compete with the loot I earned.

That, as many people will freely admit, is why there are other games. If Bungie didn't enable so much FOMO, folks wouldn't feel the need for staying in too long causing burnout and hatred for certain modes. There are flaws with every single way we can imagine looking at the issues. The game in it's current state tries to be too many things to too many people. It all boils down to a corporate need for greed. Not specifically a Bungie thing though. Its the gaming industry as a whole. But let's not go there, I haven't the nerves nor the time to digress. I gotta go make dinner.

Oh wait you'll be redownloading d2 shortly
I replaced D2 with Halo Infinite, which has much better design, support, and developer response. I upgraded my console to the XBXS Halo Edition. D2 will be downloaded only to redeem the Gunsmith materials. Then it can be deleted.
Infinite is terrible and a huge drop from the originals just like H5 was.
More bullshit. It is a far better game than D2. I have played D2 for 10,000+ hours. The difference in quality is easily observed.

I'll just go ahead and disagree since most of us in the Halo 2-3 days have all agreed this is the best the gameplay has been. It has problems sure. But it's gameplay is near perfection. Sure we can both appeal to authority on this you can have your own opinion but it doesn't make it the correct one. Just like me and my own. I'd just thought I'd share the majority consensus since you brought up the old ones.

The "no br starts" is a terrible argument though as it makes almost every other weapon irrelevant when you have a BR. I also disagree on the autorifle beyond extremely minorly toning it down if at all. I'll agree on the radar though. But in the competitive scene to normies that played back in the Halo 2-3 days. I've seen thousands at this point say the gameplay is the best Halo has ever been. As someone who has played them all as well I ca-blam!-. So the point is mute. You'll say bad I'll say good we'll continuously go in this loop.

You'll say bad I'll say good we'll continuously go in this loop.
I'll agree with loop but will disagree with ar needing a small nerf - it's range needs to be halved completely, no ar in the history of halo has had that kind of range and spraying to win has never been what halos about. Disagree on br also - all players should start with br/ar, if br is considered a power weapon now I'd be all for nerfs to bring it in line but hunting for brs to use isn't fun - especially in modes like btb where you sit and wait at the 3d print things for them to show up
-
People don't sit and wait in BTB for them. You're just wasting time at that point plus with how often they spawn and you can get the drop on someone you can easily get one and move along as theres always two or three people who have hit every spawn location. It's basically a mini-power weapon currently. Just a super easy one to get ahold of at any time and requires the knowledge of aiming.
