Why can’t we just do away with the power leveling altogether??
Yeah at this point they should just have it all take place on the artifact (and let people only grind +15 power max per season instead of infinite as some people do) and just remove it all from gear but leave the stats system etc

Exactly my thoughts. It is a pointless grind used to showcase the lack of content while neutering our player in power due to an additional system called difficulty. There is no need to have both system in place to showcase content. Power level did well when it was in D1 because difficulty was an afterthought but now that both of these are in the game, it neuters any sense of players feeling strong. It doesn’t help that the sandbox dictates what players are suppose to used due to poor balancing of power. It is like they want you to stay in a certain lane of play to avoid any sense of freedom of play.
Why can’t we just do away with the power leveling altogether??
I agree. As I said in another comment, as an example, worlds first shouldn’t be a 24/7 grind to max LL for max advantage, it should be base level LL and a teams problem solving skills win the day. This system penalizes peeps who can’t “live” on the game.

Not really. It just stops a new light player from jumping into a Raid or GM Nightfall right after talking to Shaw Hon in the cosmodrome. Most activities right now are power 1100. End game is called end game for a reason. They want you to play it after you’ve leveled up playing the core/main game. We spend most of our time in the end game because it doesn’t take too long to get through the game and level up enough to play in the end game. Day One Raids aren’t just for full time Destiny players. People with 40+ hour a week jobs manage to look even up enough to take a crack at it. It’s not like it is designed that you have to get an artifact mod up to lvl 20 in ten days. Besides contest mode prevents people from Power leveling past the Raid’s recommended level anyways. In many cases in the past it was set up so that no matter what you’d be a bit under leveled for the final encounter too.

hate n payneにより編集済み: 1/22/2022 8:30:34 PMWe have repeated the same song and dance and the only time players felt like their time and effort mattered was when we had to grind less. The fact they want us to grind some meaningless number says everything about their interaction with the community. This game would benefit more if the power level wasn’t a factor for a game designed around loot, space magic, amazing gunplay and feeling strong.
