I've looked it up and you are right, I was mistaken, it doesn't shoot faster, it just feels like it. But it still doesn't discredit the fact that it has way more range, better target acquisition especially in hip-fire, and uses primary ammo. It also goes into the same kinetic slot.
I don't play any PvP, so I don't want the first actually good sidearm pounded into the ground in PvE.

except for its not sidearm its hand cannon in disquise and nah u cant really compare dmt rpm and accuracy vs forerunner range and accuracy at 200 rpm most longest lanes in this game have around 35-40m~ so forerunner wins everytime having 50m range

Then peek shot? Use a sniper? Don’t peek the lane? Engage closer? Relocate? Bait and count shots? Do people just give up when killed by something once? It’s not broken. It’s fine, niche and fits it’s roll well. Still outclassed by Shotguns and snipers and most fusions.

That's pretty much it. It's also an exotic. And yes, they can be compared. They are both kinetic, and they are both exotic, and are both medium-long range weapons. DMT definitely has more AA in hip-fire and at range since it's a scout. Statistically it's the same (60), but you have to take DMT catalyst into consideration. In short, this isn't the gun that is going to break/broke PvP.
