This is what happens when you have entire subset of players dependent on such an oppressive aim assist system. It’s vulnerable to any matter of small changes that can drastically influence how it behaves.
And the result, they have no FPS mechanics to draw on, as they only know how to use the aim assist, and not actually aim.
It’s tragic and I hate it.
For the record, I am not flaming console players at all. I just think it’s a great sin that they are being kept from developing their aim. Because that’s a skill they could take into other games.
Well, I’d turn it off if I could if that makes you feel better. Literally no in-game option to turn off aim assist. I’ve had my aim ripped away from my target by another enemy moving in front of it too many times to count. It’s caused many deaths and is why I no longer even attempt sniping in crucible.
I lived that for like 6 years when I was on PlayStation, I wanted nothing more than a toggle for aim assist.
They do it so when you play other FPS games, you’re bad because you have no fps mechanics, and go back to destiny.
