I don't know what's going on, but this new update feels totally different in terms of camera tracking in PVP. My aim gets thrown way off of targets suddenly, almost like there's some kind of negative aim-assist. Feel like a total noob, can't hit the regular shots I'm used to. Tried adjusting in-game camera look settings, as well as the Xbox Elite controller app thumbstick settings, nothing seems to help.
So frustrating, don't even want to play anymore! Anyone else having this issue?

3 通の返信This is what happens when you have entire subset of players dependent on such an oppressive aim assist system. It’s vulnerable to any matter of small changes that can drastically influence how it behaves. And the result, they have no FPS mechanics to draw on, as they only know how to use the aim assist, and not actually aim. It’s tragic and I hate it. For the record, I am not flaming console players at all. I just think it’s a great sin that they are being kept from developing their aim. Because that’s a skill they could take into other games.

3 通の返信I’m curious to see if there’s actually an aim assist issue and bug or if this gets completely ignored, confirming it’s 100% placebo. I’m gonna asume the later. Although the would love to see an aim assist nerd, I don’t see why they would change or nerf aim assist without an announcement.

1 返信Do you seem similar issues in other games? If so, then it's possibly Controller issue. You might want to try updating the Controller Firmware (Xbox Settings -> Devices & Connections -> Accessories) as they sometimes fix issues like this. You can also check for stick issues in the Accessories too. If it's only Destiny, then it's a Destiny issue. My Money is it's Bungle related. Also, I have been seeing other weird issue where I'll suddenly move like 10 feet sideways, but only in destiny. Never happens in any other game.

3 通の返信Happening on ps5 too, the aim stickyness is not there and shooting ghost bullets. Mostly a problem with crossplay I have noticed.

1 返信It might be your controller. Ive been noticing my aim is off but i realized it's just cause ive worn out my analog sticks . They no longer move as fast as before .

2 通の返信Xbox controllers get wonky dead zones. The elite series does really bad. Calibrating them is next to impossible. Might be time for fresh controller… Or is it any that you plug in?

1 返信I agree, I kept telling myself I must be crazy and just out of practice cause no way way would they change that. But seeing this post makes me think maybe? If more than one person is feeling this.

2 通の返信My grenades feel like they have fastball but they don’t and I don’t know what’s happening.

I had some anomalies this evening. And also, is the centre of the hipfire reticle lower than it used to be or something. There's "something" I can't put my finger on about the movement. * Elite 2 controller here too.

3 通の返信I’ve only had this issue while playing against laggy people. Actively aiming at their head while the game thinks they’re somewhere else so it feels like you’re fighting aim assist. I use high sens now which seems to counter reticle friction, you have to rely on your own aim in these situations. I would suggest using the tallest stick for aiming and instant deadzone option in elite app if you haven’t already. Little bit of a learning curve when I swapped, but after getting the hang of it I was much better off.

1 返信Are your TV/Monitor settings still the same? Maybe it changed without your intention. Make sure it's on "game mode". It could be just input latency.
-
4 通の返信It might have something to do with the fact that there's more people running past each other and you're using a primary weapon. It can drag your reticle off target when people get close.

1 返信I noticed this yesterday too, thought it was weird and just left the match and turned the xbox off!
