Surely this has to be a troll post. How does this have this many upvotes
They copied Fortnite with the pay for fashion model.
How is this bad? Are people really upset about cosmetics? Or are they mad that one company implemented a profitable model used by another company - something that all companies do?
They’re trying to copy World of Tanks by locking content (and as such weapons and armor) behind paywalls with the upcoming arrival of paid dungeons.
Is this the first time you've heard of a paid DLC?
The company has really lost its desire to create amazing content
I'm not even going to argue with you here but your statement is extremely subjective and we could debate over it for a long time.
it’s really just about getting us (the players) to “throw our money at the screen”.
Yeah I also wish devs would make triple A games without collecting money... Look, if you enjoy the game, pay for the content, and that money goes towards making more content. If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it. Either option is perfectly fine. Bungie isn't collecting taxes here.
Bungie you need to up the ante if you want to keep me as a customer.
you have 7 raid clears, hardly any master or GM nightfall clears. You play a decent amount of crucible but even then you're a mediocre player. What's with the ego and self-entitlement? Do you think you're Gladd or something? No one cares if you leave.

please point out where I sound entitled in my comment. Here I'll make it easier for you - the definition of entitled is "believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment." So where exactly did I say I deserve special treatment? Let me also remind you that the OP is the one who said
Bungie you need to up the ante if you want to keep me as a customer.
Because Bungie has had 6 years to improve this game and they have failed miserablely at it and keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Bungie is a triple A studio and I expect more from them and not make the same mistakes. They say that they listen to the community but we all know they only listen to streamers and not the whole community.

I may be wearing rose tinted glasses but I know some of the quality of life features should already been implemented in the game years ago. Two of the biggest features that this game should already have at least in vanilla D2 is saved loadouts and optional match making across all activities and difficulties. If this franchise claims to be a shooter looter rpg I expect them to implement some form of optional matchmaking on most of the activities and saved loadouts options for different game modes. Relying on 3rd party apps and programs outside of the game does not give them the excuse why they chose not to implement matchmaking options or saved loadouts, that's just lazy game development. Hell even the Call of Duty franchise has saved loadouts and that game is only a shooter and not even an rpg game! I'm not giving Bungie any excuses for their ineptitude or refusal to add these features, they can do better than this. It's 2021 already Bungie, get it together or you're going to lose more customers!

Yes lets ignore the vast array of QoL improvements from D1 til now. Nothing wrong with critiquing but the constant "sky is falling in" attitude over having to pick up a smartphone and prod it a few times just comes across as, well, a bit silly tbh

D1 Vanilla had a weak story, stingy RNG, content droughts.... about its only saving grace was the gunplay and VoG. Now we have multiple raids which have come on in leaps and bounds since VoG, a better weapon system, focus farming, mantling, buildcrafting and far far better narrative than D1. I mean, the list of what D2 does better really does go further than just this. Objectively, D2 is the better game. Subjectively, whatever, its your opinion but if you hold the 2 aloft next to each other, D2 is the better game.
-
No it's not. I'm not even going to waste my time going down the list of everything, because its not worth the time just to have someone who is so caught up in the "new" to truly look at anything objectively. D1 had simply had better activities, less grind for junk, better raids, more fun, random rolls on perks and scopes, etc., etc.
-
Less grind? You sure? Because I remember having to grind purely to unlock perks on guns LOL. D1 was rudimentary in comparison. Theres nothing wrong with subjectively preferring it but if you're speaking objectively... you are wrong. Simple as that.

Who exactly is the whole community and what direction do you believe 100% of Destiny players would rally behind? The community is constantly at war with each other overy issue. So as a business model do you listen to the few on the forum who cant agree on anything or the streamers with alot of viewers. One constantly complaining about cost and the other potentially bringing in players and profit. Not saying it's great but money moves the world and in the same position most would pick streamers. Picking the forum more then likely would lead to more complaints and profit loss trying to please a community that just wants to complain about something.
