because they dont offer anything to the team that other classes/ mods cant do
debuffs ? seasonal artifacts or divinity etc..
pure damage ? thundercrash deals more damage
invis ? why besides a rez from time to time that you could achieve anyways
killing adds ? both classes does it better/ as a good
maybe controlling adds, but its not an issue in master vog, they get farmed, all you need is resistance, healing and damage overall
one thing i agree tough, is that a hunter is not necessary, but isnt a handicap either as long as you have already a few titans and warlocks.
but teams that mainly have hunters are often struggling in master vog
But, Nighthawk is safer and faster allowing you to continue dps with weapons.
Invis is good for survivability if you need it. Staying alive is important.
If the seasonal mods didn't exist, Hunters would be more sought after. Mainly for tether. Which I think is still great for add control. I have high up time on it despite the rig nerfs.
safer yes, but tcrash is also really safe (especially with the shield) and it takes like 2-3s to come back to your initial spot to dps again...on top of doing way more damage than nighthawk (with the aftermath doing damage bonus)
invis isnt needed in master vog, you get survivability by beinf healed/protecting yourself from damage
in gm's yes thats a good thing to be invis or hunter in general

im saying hunters cant do anything better than warlocks/titans in a master vog
For me, I don't like running missile there. Guess I'm a fan of safe options and up time. Both are viable. Just kills me how for most if it's not best in slot or option, it gets called bad or trash.
Would be nice if hunters had a healing gig beyond two exotics that are meh there, and prob their most under used subclass, way of the warrior, that needs to melee for it to boot.
