Because even the hardest possible PvP bounties/quests aren't actually hard. There's a cheese for everything. Know how Riven could be cheesed by giving her a manicure? Well, PvP stuff can be cheesed too.
Back when people wanted Mountaintop they went into Mayhem with Colony, for example.
So whatever you're after that requires PvP, just pick the most busted, most overpowered method of achieving it, hold W, fire when looking in the general direction of the target, repeat until done.
PvP quests and bounties aren't hard, and if you take a minute to stop thinking "I HATE PVP", you'll see a hundred ways to get it done easily, quickly, or both.

Most pvp mains dont like pve but we dont whine that we cant get certain things without it. why are pve mains so weak-willed that they cant stomach an hour or two of pvp for the things they want, while pvp mains actively grind pve just to keep an edge on their gear?

Good question. I don't mind either sides. This might not be an answer to your question in a general sense, I don't know what people think you know. My experience: I would prefer to acquire PvE items through PvE and PvP items through PvP. Simple as that. That might be it, it just makes it so I am not "forced" (as they say) to play something I wasn't appealed to play in the first place for something I desire using in an activity I do like to play.
So whatever you're after that requires PvP, just pick the most busted, most overpowered method of achieving it, hold W, fire when looking in the general direction of the target, repeat until done.
If it's just there to be cheesed, then why have the requirement at all?
-
It isn't just there to be cheesed. Absolutely nothing in this game, pve or pvp, is MEANT to be cheesed. But this community loves taking the easiest, laziest, lowest-effort way of doing everything, and avoids challenging themselves as often as they can, so everything ends up cheesed anyways.

Or maybe they take the challenge into real life and use gaming as it was intended to be a fun method of entertainment. I want the vex mythaclayst so I will happily do as many runs in vog till I get it just like the multiple runs of scourge to get anarchy that I had to do. Nothing lazy in willing to put the work to get them. I really like the look of igneous hammer and tomorrow’s answer but I’m more than happy to do without as it requires going into trials and that’s just not for me. That’s not laziness that choosing the right cause to put my efforts into.
If you want something and don't get it just because you don't want to do what's needed, that's lazy.
He answered you quite clearly with this:
I really like the look of igneous hammer and tomorrow’s answer but I’m more than happy to do without as it requires going into trials and that’s just not for me. That’s not laziness that choosing the right cause to put my efforts into.
You see, he said that he "likes" it, but he's "more than happy to do without". That's not being lazy. That's prioritizing what's more important for him. If that's being lazy, then everyone in the world may be. -There's a boy who would like to get better grades, but can live with a B- than an A+ on his paper, so he takes a rest that he feels he deserves. That's not being lazy. -There's a dad who would like to get promoted, but can have going overtime in work postponed because his children at home want to bond with him more, so he gets home earlier. That's not being lazy. -There's a gamer who would rather play PVE (or PVP), so he skips out on the other game mode. THAT'S NOT BEING LAZY. He had a choice, and he went through with it. The suggestion was to give players MORE of that freedom of choice. Because clearing a catalyst only while killing raid majors, than getting 50 kills on crucible is NOT. BEING. LAZY. Hell, we're not even limiting PVP. The suggestion allows PVP-centric people to just focus on clearing PVP-centric objective. The suggestion was about you staying in PVP, while we stay in PVE. I don't know why you're forcing us into PVP, when we're not forcing you into PVE.
-
There's not a single thing in PvE that's worth the same as anything in PvP. No amount of requirements on the PvE side of things is equal to a single requirement in PvP. You want a catalyst? A gun? A reward of any kind? Do what it says to do, or don't get it. If there was a PvE option that was equal to PvP requirements, they may as well put the reward in the bright dust store for all the difficulty that has.
-
So in your eyes 12 kills in crucible is considered acceptable effort But 12 champion kills is considered lazy.ok then. So the pvp catalyst could be done in 2 games and that’s hard work but 3 legend nightfalls is considered lazy there’s equal amount of effort going into both so why do you consider one acceptable and not the other
-
because champions aren't hard. the most irritating ones can be brute forced, and they're all invalidated by mods, on top of being predictable, while players have to be outplayed or outwitted, and that means you have to be better than them. the difference is champions take no skill or real effort, while killing a player at least means you were better than that player, more skilled, so you earned the kill instead of being handed it by simple mechanics
-
You can one shot guardians with jotuun wardcliff etc that’s even easier. But from a time perspective doing the champion route would take longer and there’s a ton of other enemies to kill during the process so actually the lazy route is the pvp route. Well would you look at that.
-
jump left and up, jotunn will miss, and thats the thing. no pve enemy is capable of outplaying you. but any player has the potential to. in pve "this can 1shot" means it WILL, every time. "this can 1shot" in pvp means "if it hits, it will". you dont have to try in pve, but in pvp you have to outplay them. that is why pvp is a more worthy challenge. it's the ONLY challenge in this game
-
From your perspective only.all pvp centric players think along them lines that’s why their pvp centric. A pve centric player would see doing a raid getting 6 people working unison just as much of a challenge if not more of a challenge because getting 6 people doing 6 different things at the same time with out mistake is just as hard. The biggest lesson you can learn is your way isn’t the only way to think. As I said you have a lot to learn about life and people. The passion of youth. The wisdom of age.

I know there’s cheeses and easy ways to do everything but honestly I don’t need to stop thinking the way I think,I know I dislike pvp in destiny 2 and that’s not going to change because it’s so broken and very very unenjoyable,if I want pvp I’ll do battlefield as it’s way way better experience
