Ok so I like everything in destiny 2 apart from pvp-does that make me a bad person no it doesn’t.
So as far as things stand in the current state of d2 I’m going to say pve makes up 80-90% of the game and pvp only a small portion of it.
Is it really that bad to give your player base a choice in how to complete certain objectives.
Why is it so offensive if there is a choice between guardian kills or other high level pve kills.
Why is it so offensive for people to dislike 1 aspect of the game and enjoy another aspect.
I’m not whining as some would suggest but I am saying “bungie I like the majority of your game and this is how you can easily keep me spending on it”.
Why is that so offensive to the community

1 返信Pvp is in a really weird place atm because it feels like they really don't care about it (it's gonna be almost 3 years before we get 1 new map and 2 from Destiny 1), but they're still forcing people to play it to keep the numbers up so streamers don't get bored and leave.

7 通の返信Trust me if handled correctly destiny pvp could have been decent. But because of the hybrid gameplay of combining the sandboxes. It basically ruined the entire game over all. An choice. My dude to it asking to much from bungie let alone any developer. Why would they allow the player a choice in what they want to do. If I had a choice in how I played the game. I would chose to have none of my gear or abilities take a nerf or change to make the pvp balanced. If I was given the choice to run a raid by myself or with a team. I would solo it but I can’t. I mean I can continue that list but choice is not allowed. I wish more fo the quests had pve objectives I could do to get exotic gear or other gear. But it’s impossible to do so cause the pvp community would see it as devaluing that set of gear. Also they tried that idea with the redrix claymore or broadsword at that point. But guess why you still had to reach a certain rank in the comp playlist so for a lot of the players they still couldn’t get that weapon. I got the broadsword but not the claymore. An I hated every second of it cause I was forced to play pvp. Also yea I am the one who came up with multiple ideas that would eliminate trials as a way to get trials of the nine gear and Osiris gear by making it a pve challenge bounty. Guess who didn’t like that idea. I’m guessing bungie finally went with one of my ideas of making losing a bone variable with trials from what someone told me. But zero proof as of yet and trials is being delayed for some odd reason. Maybe backlash from trials being slightly changed from what it was with the pvp community leading the charge. I don’t know. But still. The pvp was handled poorly. That’s why there are so many who don’t like it and are tired of being forced into it being the last thing to do after weekly reset objectives completed.

1 返信It's funny to see the butthurt in the PVP-centric people. All that their arguments boil down to are basically these: -Nobody is making a feedback that states, "Only allowing PVE-exclusive exotic weapons to drop in PVE activities is unfair for PVP-centric players. Please make a PVP activity-exclusive exotic as well" so we'll just crash this post that has nothing to do with us. -If you PVE people stayed away from PVP, how could I, an average PVP player get my self-gratification from beating you guys? I'd be left with really good PVP players then, with no way to boost my ego.
-
7 通の返信the fact that so much stuff requires pvp, is why i don't have roughly 75% of exotic catalysts

Because Bungle can't control how you play. Its all about taking as much away from us as possible until we all quit. Then they wonder why they have no players. I'm on my 8th (maybe 9th) Clan since D2 started. They all die and people just give up on this steaming Dumpster Fire.

3 通の返信Bungie needs people who hate pvp to play pvp so the people making videos/streams have cannon fodder to stomp so the free advertising they produce looks amazing.
-
4 通の返信I love making up percentages based on my opinions to help my argument, I do it 60-65% of the time.

13 通の返信If you want all the things, you have to play the whole game. It’s perfectly reasonable. What’s unreasonable inhibition of choice is the insistence that only some weapons and classes can work against champions.

Honestly I think the main issue is that a lot of players see this as like CoD with separate pve and PvP, when Bungie clearly sees it as a game that puts an emphasis on both. They want you to play PvP as that's how they envision the game. Could they give options? Sure, but I seriously doubt it will happen any time soon.

1 返信Fallosにより編集済み: 9/4/2021 12:13:03 AMBungie needs more people in matchmaking pool for it takes less time. Also we know that pvp pro players don’t like to play against other pvp pro players and they need you to bang your a$$. Without you pvp players will be sad, so make a sacrifice, you bad person!

18 通の返信"PvE makes up 80-90% of the game." No. It does not. PvE content is about 60% of the game, considering how gambit, crucible, iron banner, trials, and even comp are massively played. Being bad at pvp doesn't mean no one likes it. It's a part of the game. It IS the game. If you despise it, then simply put don't play it.

2 通の返信Regardless my thoughts about this, Bungie stated many and many times that for them PvP is an important part of the game, that they can't imagine a D2 without the Crucible, that they want people to enjoy and partecipate all the parts of the game ecc ecc. If this is a way to keep players busy, a costriction, a regular decision or whatever, that's your (not YOUR meant to the author, but a generic YOUR) opinion. Through the years the community asked for different paths when is about Tasks/Quests completion that allowed to chose between PvP/PvE requirements. The only example we had (for what I can remember) was the Thorn Quest. After that, Bungie never did it again. Even if the feedback around this has been pretty loud and clear, Bungie never modified the game and never released a clear statement about it. It's pretty clear that Bungie doesn't have any intention to do so and the game will continue to ask players both PvE and PvP requirements.

There should be PvP and PvE paths. Everyone gets to choose, no one has anything to complain about regarding it. -
8 通の返信If you want all the loot, you'll do all the content. Plain and simple. If it's a story quest, sure, I'm all for having accessibility for that. But if it's something like the Lorentz catalyst, which isn't required for anything anywhere, nor does it unlock content other than itself, you should have to do the quest as it says. If I want a raid weapon, I do the raid and get it. I don't ask for bungie to make it obtainable in pvp because that's just dumb. If you want an item that makes you go into pvp, you'll either do it and get the item, or suck it up and not get it. No one has a gun to your head.

2 通の返信You made the choice to not play Crucible. See...choice. You choose not to have access to some things thatrequire playing all aspects of the game. I Fing hate Gambit, but I do it 3 games a week....

53 通の返信Because even the hardest possible PvP bounties/quests aren't actually hard. There's a cheese for everything. Know how Riven could be cheesed by giving her a manicure? Well, PvP stuff can be cheesed too. Back when people wanted Mountaintop they went into Mayhem with Colony, for example. So whatever you're after that requires PvP, just pick the most busted, most overpowered method of achieving it, hold W, fire when looking in the general direction of the target, repeat until done. PvP quests and bounties aren't hard, and if you take a minute to stop thinking "I HATE PVP", you'll see a hundred ways to get it done easily, quickly, or both.

7 通の返信Entityにより編集済み: 9/3/2021 11:55:41 PMWhy is it so offensive for you to jusy play the other half of the game lmao, why is it so offensive for you to just grit your teeth and actually endure it when it's so minor and easy. Just suck it up and stop crying lol You say you aren't whining but you 100% are, being an entitled little brat over a couple of kills and challenges that are designed for bots like you to complete. You have 180 days to do it, it'll be impressive if you can't get whatever you need done.

2 通の返信It's not about it being offensive. It's about making sure all aspects of the game get their fair showing. Especially to new players. Too much choice and you water the game down. Too much restriction you make it too difficult. It's about what's easy and what isn't.......and I can tell you right now. The bulk of this community would do all of their stuff in strikes if they could. But Bungie are smarter than that.......smart enough to actively nudge people into different aspects of the game. To keep things just limited enough that player retention is maintained healthily enough to carry them season to season. Improvements need to be made sure I won't deny that. I was nervous about crucible and my first pvp catalyst pushed me to play it. I didn't shy away from it........I actually enjoyed it. I would maybe never have ever seen crucible if I didn't have incentive to do it. If you don't like PvP for example. Fine nothing wrong with that. But good luck getting that catalyst.....the point of things like that is setting a minor challenge to offer a "sense of accomplishment" take that away and what incentive do you have? None.

3 通の返信I don't understand why it's so hard to unlock the omega catalyst booster and get 10 pvp kills with the seasonal weapon that 1 shot body shots in momentum control.
