I know I wasn't the only one hoping Bungie would actually follow through on "play your way" and let us complete Seasonal Exotic catalysts in whichever one of the three main activities we choose. Failing that, I'm just waiting for the frenzy to die down (and for my 4x catalyst boost to kick in).

Of course, you will not receive the reward. “Play your way” doesn’t mean the game needs to revolve around you and your playstyle and your likes and dislikes.

Actually, "play your way" [i]kind of implies you'll be able to stick to the modes you prefer and work out the catalyst.[/i] Of course, my mistake was taking an offhand comment at face value from the same people who infamously said they "didn't want to release Trials half-baked". I get it. Not every single thing they say is a promise, and even then, they're only human. They can't deliver on every promise they make. I'm just saying that "play your way" was one of the things I most wanted, more options to earn the Seasonal rewards.

If you want 100% of the rewards in the game, expect to play 100% of the activities - both PvE and PvP. Catalyst completion is part of the 100% of those rewards, so expect to play both PvE and PvP to complete the catalyst. Just because you (and some others) don't like PvP, that doesn't mean PvP needs to be removed from catalyst completion requirements. After Season Rank 22, it's only 13 kills. I despise PvP, and admittedly, I'm not even that good at PvP - but I still manage to get the PvP part of the catalysts done within 2 or 3 matches. It's not hard, you just have to put your big boy pants on and get it done. In the time you've spent complaining about the PvP part of the catalyst, you could have been playing PvP and would most likely have that step done by now.

Doesn't have to be that way though, hence the post in the first place. Just because things are stupid and unenjoyable now for us doesn't mean they have to stay stupid and unenjoyable for other people. [i]Improvements[/i] can be made so people can actually like playing the game.

You're entitled to your opinion, but keep in mind, that's all it is... [i]an opinion[/i]. You just want the game to be easier for you. I get it. I can't relate, but I get it. Some people don't like the idea of challenging themselves.

Get ready because I'm about to blow your mind: PvP isnt challenging. It's a coinflip, the only difference between players is how many coins they go through. Either one game you get a bunch of fresh spawn enemies that don't notice you until you've one shot them with your sniper/GL/Super etc, or you get stuck being Spawn killed by enemies one after the other with their one shot cheese strategies and weapons. PvP is just another grind, the only difference is the fact that PvE is actually an enjoyable grind that you can learn and prepare for.

Some people just aren't mentally prepared to handle playing against other actual people who may or may not be better than they are at a specific activity. As I've already pointed out in my original reply, "If you want 100% of the rewards, expect to play 100% of the activities - both PvE and PvP."

You can make all the excuses you want, but there are players out there who are objectively better at PvP.

It's almost like I've only spent 1% of my total game time playing PvP with the focus of farming kills with one weapon. If I spent every waking moment sitting through queues to sweat in PvP farming kills with Supers and clicking on people with instant Shot snipers or witherhoard I'd easily have higher stats and be called "decent" with other people saying "oh you suck you use XYZ." But why should I subject myself to that? Call your hotline man, I think it's time to admit you've got a problem.

Oof another person with 0 reading skills, not surprising. It's been completed, and through its completion my points have only been reinforced. All I did was sleep through on and off laggy matches ruining the experience of everyone else in the lobbies because the only reason I was there was farming player kills with a single weapon.

Seeing as you’re complaining about having to play a little PvP in a game that has both PvP and PvE in it, I’d say you have a while before you finish. Just wait until you see all the PvP-related seasonal triumphs coming up 👍

Just children complaining about Bungie “forcing” them to play an activity that is 100% voluntary. Your “argument” of, “I don’t like PvP, therefore, Bungie needs to have the game revolve around what I like and dislike” is not only a highly illogical thought process, but a juvenile argument to begin with. Put your big boy pants on and just do the activity if you want the reward.

If you're not even going to read then you can't even say anything, you're just an ignorant -blam!- coming at people with "Bungie made the game bad so it should stay bad."
