Being forced into PVP for Catalysts is beyond frustrating

Not only does it waste time just [i]looking[/i] for matches to farm in, an average of 10 minutes minimum in Gambit and 15-20 for ANY crucible games [i]if you're lucky,[/i] but when you actually do get into those matches you just end up gimping your team and bringing down the already miserable experience for everyone even further because the only reason you're there in the first place is to run around ignoring objectives trying to farm as many kills with the same weapon over and over again all for an obnoxious part of a Catalyst Quest. Kills that you're not even guaranteed to get because of a number of equally annoying reasons that all culminate in a depressing grindy slog for all parties involved: Games being fine one match with you clicking on enemy heads deleting them before they can attempt to play the game and then immediately transitioning into awful inconsistent lag pits in the next that has everyone jumping back and forth in every direction and player-characters taking 3 seconds to realize they're already dead before their bodies finally ragdoll; awful matchmaking that often pits half a team against a full one for the entire length of the match with 0 players joining to fill in the blanks until the final moments where their sudden appearance means absolutely nothing; and terrible balance that waters the game-modes down into: "Who one-shots who 1st" with Snipers/Rockets/Grenade-Launchers hiding behind every far corner while shotgunners bull rush into spawns like kamikazes with a turbo engine. It's not enjoyable and there's no reason for it to be forced onto players like it is, because a beyond simple fix is right there waiting for Bungie to implement at any time: Instead of it only being "50 Guardians Defeated" make it "50 Guardians/Champions/Bosses defeated." Give players a choice to play how they want to get the gear that they want unless it's specifically PvP oriented/themed gear. If we can complete 2/3 of the mission by enjoying ourselves in challenging PvE [b][i][u]>>OR<<[/u][/i][/b] PvP content, why is it such an outlandish idea to make it the same for the final bit? It would still take people time to fill out the catalyst, but this way they're actually enjoying themselves with steady guaranteed progress instead of hating life wasting their free time on inconsistent content they care nothing about while bringing down the experience for those that actually like the PvP in this game. So there's my feedback and suggestion for how to easily and effortlessly improve part of your game that pointlessly frustrates a large portion of your community. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go and force myself through [i]hopefully[/i] 20 more matches of Gambit and pray to the Nine that when I click on an enemy's head with the Lorentz Driver they actually die in one-shot instead teleporting 2 feet to the side before one-shotting me with their Sniper. Such riveting coinflip gameplay for both sides going on there...
