It seems you're misunderstanding things (or deliberately misconstruing, but let's give you the benefit of the doubt).
There's two separate things, one the 30th Anniversary celebration, this is one is free:

Then there's the 30th Anniversary pack. That one costs US$25 and includes the dungeon and Gjallarhorn and a whole lot of cosmetics. An argument could be made that Bungie could offer a cheaper tier for folks who only want the dungeon and Gjallarhorn and are willing to live without the extra cosmetics, but to demand that this is given away for free as well is a bit much, no?

Players who been purchasing destiny DLC since d1 first launched, used to get full access to all game features with the dlc. that includes exotics and dungeons. Then destiny introduced the eververse which is fine, more money to bungie for selling cosmetic optional gear. then destiny introduced paid seasons. that too was fine. Paying 10 for an extra activity, some cosmetics, materials and a series of event weapon reskins that werent op. But then bungie decided having 3 monetization models just werent making them enough. so they started pulling content from xpac/dlc like dungeons and exotics/exotic missions and adding them behind the other paywalls like their season and this anniversary bundle (which if sells well will be a new thing im sure) So now for that same DLC price you still get the story, new features and a raid. The rest has been chopped up and resold at additional cost, i.e. dungeons, exotics ect. Bungie isint giving us more, they are simply breaking up what we used to already get and selling it back at higher prices. Its not that it should be free, but core game things like dungeons and exotics should come with the cost of the expansion. Seasons and eververse should be their own thing.

You, yourself admitted that Bungie has a right to make money, which was the entirety of my point. I have no interest in arguing the ethics of how Bungie does that. If I feel their pricing structure is unfair or predatory, I'll stop giving them money, rather than argue on the internet. Its when people voice the issue in big enough numbers that things like this get changes. just look at the change in transmog currency or other changes as a result of negative feedback in big enough numbers. People leaving this feedback is important. [/quote] The anniversary pack contains a dungeon and an exotic, Which should have either been included with the price of beyond light DLC purchase, or Witch Queen purchase. But now instead of a DLC purchase granting you access to the full game, more and more is being chopped out of the DLC and added to other paywalls, like seasons and this anniversary pack. [/quote] the point i was making with "we are getting less not more" are people are thinking they are getting good deals, When in reality we are getting less with our money, Especially with a DLC standard purchase, because content that used to be included is being cut out and packaged within other pay walls. Thats the big issue. imagine if bungie gave the dungeon with gjally drop to all owners of beyond light. A lot of players would probably have returned to try it out, then many of those would stick around to try witch queen, making bungie even more in the end, and still sell anniversary pack as 2 bundles 1 with just cosmetics for a bit less, and 1 for people who didnt own xpac. OR the dungeon should have at least been included with the standard witch queen DLC
