Not a lot more to say about this. It's not a "celebration". It's day 0 DLC. At least be honest about it. No one wants to be charged more money as a thanks for the loyalty and support they've given.

10 通の返信The people who Blindly throw money at bungie just make me confused... They are showing they are bad with money, going to buy stuff before getting a good look at what's in store AND a good amount defend the practice of Take object A away, and add object B. Object B is replaced with object A+. A+ is behind a pay wall, it's basically object A but you can use it. Another common reply I've seen is "on a anniversary or birthday do you give a gift?" This goes both ways... The devs are celebrating 30 years and the fans are celebrating 30 years because without the fans, yeah wouldn't have made it to 30 years.

I don’t mind the concept of having to pay since they do put in a lot of work and they need to make money at the end of the day. The only thing I don’t enjoy is that the content (from what we’ve heard as of this post) is not sufficient enough for £21. A new dungeon, exotic/quest, with weapons and armour should be priced the same as seasons since the amount of content is similar or less than what we’ve received in season of the chosen and splicer

1 返信Fans keep this going. Some support their favorite steamers. Others through paying more for content. Other by buying EVERVERSE items. Me, I bought the anniversary edition because I want to. The old axiom. Caveat emptor. Or the other. I do what I want. In either case. Throw money at the screen

Gonna be a nice gift for myself for Christmas. Don't mind paying the $30 for it. I do mind paying the extra $10 for the Deluxe digital edition thought. But bundling them will save $5 if I bought them separately so YAY?

We're talking about the same people -blam!- a $60+ beta with an exclusive weapon for extra special editions only to take away literally every single thing they every had from that beta that people paid for and pretend it's progressing the game.

5 通の返信With the Witch Queen being delayed until February 2022, this will be first year since Destiny launched, where Bungie doesn’t have a piece of Destiny content to sell, before Christmas. That’s why the 30th Anniversary pack exists. Bungie needs the money. And, I suppose a certain argument can be made that ‘certain’ individuals in the fan base will revolt if they have to go long with out fresh Destiny content. The big question is why the steep price. It costs more than a Season. Heck, we are talking about Fall Expansion money here. And the only thing we know about it is the Loot cave Dungeon, and Gjallarhorn.

You don't have to purchase it. I'm sure Gjallarhorn will be released in the loot pool sometime next year. And no, I am not a "Destiny fan boy drinking the cool aid" People are going to spend their money how they see fit, and nothing is making you continue to play Destiny or purchase any new content.

As much as people complain ab bungie business practice, you still gon buy it. You still gon play it. Let’s say you don’t though, there are hundreds, thousands of new players that will. Maybe I’m just built different but I’ll continue to pay for content that’s interesting to me cause I like this game. And if the time comes where I don’t find it interesting, it’s always an option to stop giving my money to bungie & find something else. Simple.

Cayde’s Spicy Ramen(Adept)により編集済み: 8/26/2021 7:46:03 PMY’all realize it’s not just Gally, a dungeon, and the Thorn Armor set right? Do you actually read how much comes with it for $30? It’s an anniversary bundle, that content will probably become free or reduce in price eventually. This game was never free to begin with, and neither has any DLC (which again, isn’t defined as maps and a new campaign, it’s any DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT, AHEM.. GALLY, which hasn’t even existed in D2 yet). It’s not going to start being completely free now, a studio needs to be paid to produce content, and while there are plenty of free things they give, including the game itself which many paid $60 for on release. Quit whining. Edit: Not $30.... $24.00****************** extra emphasis on the $24.00

Like it or not here’s the reality. In the history of the Destiny franchise this December will mark the 1st time that purchasable new in game content isn’t being offered which is why Bungie has concocted the 30th Anniversary. Buy it or don’t. Bungie has always received Christmas revenue and is hoping the player base will continue the tradition.

3 通の返信It seems you're misunderstanding things (or deliberately misconstruing, but let's give you the benefit of the doubt). There's two separate things, one the 30th Anniversary celebration, this is one is free:
The 30th anniversary celebration is coming on December 7 and it’s free for all players. It will offer a new six-player matchmade activity, iconic weapons to collect, mysteries to unravel and rewards that commemorate our long and storied history together.
Then there's the 30th Anniversary pack. That one costs US$25 and includes the dungeon and Gjallarhorn and a whole lot of cosmetics. An argument could be made that Bungie could offer a cheaper tier for folks who only want the dungeon and Gjallarhorn and are willing to live without the extra cosmetics, but to demand that this is given away for free as well is a bit much, no?
