But this isn’t an AI deciding on skill, or KD. Kd isn’t even coming into this
It’s purely just a way for “Me” or “You” or anybody being able to effectively stop seeing each other based on whatever we decided was the factor
This isn’t a system deciding you have a better kd than somebody else therefore don’t get paired together that’s sbmm
This is a personal choice on “do you like/ hate this player for whatever reason”
Skill isn’t even part of the coding for this

RopeAdopeにより編集済み: 7/9/2021 5:49:57 PMThe “k/d” was just an example of a level of minutia some ppl judge others based on. You’re getting hung-up on the details. Forest-trees? That whole thing. Edit: seen many players jumping off maps? System exploitation. My first point

Well you’re not wrong - being able to leave the map bounds and kill yourself is a fine line between “bad design” (ie not having walls around everything) and offering free choice to the player without babying them into colouring inside the lines But whatever minutiae a player chooses for preferring or avoiding is irrelevant My intention isn’t to judge certain decisions higher than others You avoided a person because their kd is higher than yours - that’s fine You avoided them because you didn’t like their fashion or what shaders they used - that’s fine too It’s not going to weigh more heavily on the scales than anything else My idea is that it’s such a small tip of the scales no player will even notice or be punished for it That’s what I’m trying to figure out and accomplish with the forums input - What is the capping point before the scales tip too far and end up separating an individual from everyone else

Look, I commend you on generating an actual discussion. You have some good ideas. But people are always the “wrench” and this would be extremely ambitious. It’s like the same reason PvP/PvE are always requirements with solstice armor, challenges, etc. Its already a very divided player-base. And people are extremely smart and savvy, especially when it comes to the more convoluted systems in place. The higher the number of parameters, the higher the opportunities to exploit those parameters. KISS has always been a good mantra

Well thanks and that may have gone too far, but I do appreciate your debate with me And oh man you don’t have to tell me - I’m one of those PvErs that despise having to go into crucible to get stuff I really did want to close the rift, not open it more

You could always try compartmentalizing and focusing on individual aspects rather than the system as a whole. Take an idea to its relative conclusion (benefits, exploits, holes, etc) Then the next and how it would affect the former, and so on. We already know you can think critically so just narrow the focus (yes, ironic in an FPS)
